This is a very informative conversation. I have been with my husband for 5 years now and I have never used contraceptives. I use the natural way of checking my mucus to know when I'm fertile and I avoid sex in those days. If I really want to have sex then we have to use a condom. I have not gotten pregnant by mistake. It also helps that my husband is disciplined so we help each other. My husband is also against contraceptives. I wish more women could learn their bodies and avoid contraceptives. THIS IS THE REAL WOMEN EMPOWERMENT 👏

Hey i got married 11 months ago and have been using the basal body temperature and cervical mucus plus taking LH tests to know when i am almost ovulating. how long do you avoid sex in order to avoid pregnancy? i read that sperm can live for 5 days and we have been trying to gather information since we got a pregnancy scare a few weeks ago

@victoria_aa10 күн бұрын
@@wangari0.052 Hey. So I figured out which days of my cycle I usually spot the change in my cervical mucus. So I avoid unprotected sex 4-5 days before these days (to be on the safe side) and 3-4 days after I spot the fertile mucus. If you've watched the whole video, the doc explains it well. Avoid unprotected sex when you see the signs of fertility and avoid it for 3 more days after the signs are gone.

I was offered contraception by my Dr a month after giving birth to my first child. I respectfully said no to her as we (my husband and I) have always been team natural. She was shocked and asked "what if you get pregnant tomorrow?" I said "So be it. Since when was it wrong to have another child in a loving family setting?" I would have understood her question if I wasn't married or didn't have a stable home. Anyway, to cut the long story short, my body had naturally adapted to all the changes, daily breastfeeding became my natural "contraception"....fast-track my baby is now 20 months and my menstrual cycle are quiet in full swing (very regular). If I conceive now, my baby would be almost 2.5 yrs when the second one arrives. Now that's what I call natural/God-made family spacing! :D What God made and saw as "good", should not be tampered with. Let everything take it's course naturally. He made us perfect....don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
