Thanks Lynn for always identifying guests that speak directly to us as ordinary people. Carol spoke well on the food we eat and how it responds negatively to our body situation. Rest, diet, off sugar exercise and fasting came strongly for me. Can Carol deal more on depression, causes especially in adulthood and simple ways of preventing or healing it.

The way I have thoroughly enjoyed this conversation! I will have to rewatch it again and again. I shared the link with my friends and family even before listening to the whole talk, more people need to hear this with an open mind. Thank you so much Lynn for creating space for Carol to freely and openly discuss these very important topics. I get criticized for the way I live a less toxic lifestyle, even got broken up with for using a non-fluoride toothpaste but I am not apologizing for my lifestyle. I am on a journey to heal my body, mind, and spirit. I am open to learning more on how to optimized my life, and this conversation did just that for me. Carol, I appreciate you so much and may our Lord keep using you to wake up His people so we can find true healing. You're awesome! Lynn, I love you and thank you thank you for being you and showing up as your authentic self! Much love from a Congolese who lived in Kenya and for now is in America XOXO

Thank you so so much Lynn for everything that you do. You’re such a blessing in using your gifts and platform to transform lives and update our mental software. Thank you Carol for your dedication to helping us and sharing your wisdom!!!! I grew up with my mom persistently telling me to eat more greens, drink lots of water and exercise. However, I thought it was a punishment because most of my friends at a young age got to eat fast food, drink soft drinks and do whatever they wanted. So when I saw an opportunity I’d indulge in them during trips and visiting friends and family. And as a result I got hormonal imbalances and painful periods which made me dizzy, lose sensation in my body and felt like I was internally dying. It hit me that I didn’t want to live my life like that anymore and started asking my mom questions, doing more research, changing my lifestyle and getting to understand how my body reacts to certain foods. So thank you for the reminder. Sometimes you might know the information but laziness and inconsistency can hinder your progress…speaking from experience. This has rekindled my journey to heal my body and stop relying on medications for temporary relief. May God continue to bless you both for the work you’re doing. As a biomedical science student, I’ve learned so much about aging healthily in terms of diet, disease, physiology and everything that you have said is 💯 true. Nowadays it pains me to go grocery shopping cause I know the ingredients of some of the snacks I used to eat that was defined as ‘healthy’ is actually not. Again absolutely loved this episode and will heed your advice in taking proper care of my body. Thank you God bless🤍

Brufen and Buscopan were the order of the day growing up. Period pains so bad that I couldn't go to school for at least 2 days. I am a pre-1985 kid, so I doubt the generation has much to do with it. I, however, get it on the food changes, additives, shortcuts and lifestyle changes that have affected our general health. Sugar has been a major weakness for me over the years so I have a part to play towards my wellness. Hypothyroidism caught up with me and lethargy becomes the order of the day. Like you mentioned, they prescribe synthroid or levothyroxine etc Oh how we need to be careful what we ingest! Thanks a lot ladies for the session. Some of us need to be reminded from time to time!

For those who get really painful periods, here are some things that helped me treat mine! To give you some context, I had really painful periods , terrible nausea and vomiting etc every 24 days. Here are some things I did : avoided sugar, reduced processed foods, took kefir (probiotic) , ate a lot of broccoli and kale, ate foods high in healthy fats like salmon, prawns & avocados. When I tell you now I can actually go out whilst on my period and it’s no longer difficult. I actually committed to doing this for 3 weeks , create a meal plan for myself & now I no longer dread my periods. For those who may not have 3 weeks prior to their period to commit to this, I would blend pineapple (the stem), turmeric and carrot and drink it a few days to your period and during your period, you’ll have a less painful period. Try to exercise more too! If you try this, let me know how it goes ❤️

I started taking arorwet from Harriet's Botanicals earlier this year and I don't resent my periods anymore!!! I still can't believe that I have pain free periods. For now, that's what's working for me. In the future I do plan on doing an endometriosis check. I'd say the internet is your friend. Do your research and don't give up. There are more doctors in Kenya than are focusing on the issue of painful periods so there's hope. All the best dear.

I am a product of the grassland Maasai Savannahs. Kitengela was then an extension of the Nairobi National Park back. The Maa community knew so much about natural remedies and I must say they rarely visited the dispensary which was miles away anyway. My mum would boil the weeds in the shamba and drink them with bone soup. I would find it so odd and wondered what was wrong with her. Little did I know she was healing the body naturally. I must say I've never seen my mum visit a hospital neither is she against it, but she ALWAYS had a remedy for every illness. I'm glad she passed on the knowledge to me that I keep sharing when an opportunity presents itself. I EAT FOOD AS MEDICINE. Thank you Lynn for hosting Carol. The world needs more of this!

Ms. Carol's message and guidance should be shouted from the rooftops. Many countries have unfortunately lost touch with natural products, hence they have 'sick populations. Many ancestors never had, and some still don't have all these medical issues because they still eat 90% natural foods and they walk daily. When people start eating more processed foods and synthetic medicines plus lack of movement, health issues will start cropping up. As well, do the females even know what is in those birth control pills they take? It has been documented that many dis-eases can be reversed if one eats more raw foods, more fish, more fresh vegetables, etc,. As well, in all the Holy books, it is written God has provided all the foods and plants for healing humans. For the babies to grow better, stronger, and for natural family planning, the Holy books also caption that the woman should breast feed the baby at least for two years. Thank you LNN for bringing Ms. Carol back on the show. A monthly show should be dedicated for her on the topics of concern.

See a GE first to rule out any underlying diseases causing the gastritis. Have an endoscopy if you can. What worked for me after PPI's stopped being effective was acupuncture and my acupuncturist also gave me some aryuvedic medicine. Work on your stress levels: being constantly of fight/flight/freeze mode is very detrimental for your digestive system health. Probiotics are also key in helping to restore your gut microbiome which makes up majority of your immunity system.

Green tea is good, 2 cups per day maximum . Before taking green tea make sure your iron is good, like you are eating foods rich in irons like greens , beans , meat,.....because green tea can inhibit iron absorption.

Any long life UHT(ultra heat treated) milk is heated to a very high temperature, typically around 135°C (275°F) for a short time. This kills most bacteria and spores( that can be found in normal boiled milk) that can cause spoilage and harm plus has sterile packaging and thus can stay on shelf months. There are no additional preservatives involved in almost all long life milk. ALWAYS INDICATED ON THE PACKAGE
