I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager and was told I may never birth a child. Mine came with irregular menstrual cycles and heavy bleeding, I mean bleeding for months! God blessed me with a son. After I met my husband, we started trying for a baby immediately after I told him my condition. We went through a fertility treatment to help me ovulate and for my egg to fertilise. But from a young age, I have been praying up to God to help me have children one day beacuse I never thought that I will one day carry my own children without any period. The test is Hysterosalpingography (HSG) and a speculum is used to open the vagina to access the cervix to inject contrast(dye) to view the fallopian tubes. The pains felt during this examination differs from person to person depending on their pain threshold.
