This raises the question of whether the SAS practices doing entry drills with plastic garden tents. Just in case terrorists threaten to spray weedkiller at the Chelsea Flower Show. Or something. It's interesting to see one of these matches were Ian actually does try and win - or at least doesn't go with a 1902 Chinese mystery pistol and an Egyptian SKS clone.

Ian was actually thinking of using a Yugo SKS on this one... :D Also i wouldn't say he was trying to win at all because he intentionally used a plate carrier with level 4 plates despite shooting in OPEN category. His loadout was chosen to test the equipment and wasn't optimal for fast/best performance. But personally it's way better and more enjoyable to have these themed loadouts and fun shooting challenges than just trying to win.

hrm, things like that with the ML-36 make it seem like the standalone shells might be better. Those are made for any airsoft 40mm launcher, but you have to push the shell in from the front first.

The no-shoots where painted after each hit, so they knew if you hit the plate or it fell off on its own

@@roflchopter11 as Stefan replied the plates were painted after each run so the RO was able to determine if the plate was actually hit or just fell down on it's own. The penalty was given only for a hit on no-shoot plate, regardless if it fell down or not

I was good with the AK4 (Swedish), and then I worked in the hospital. Conscripted soldier, as it was back then. I was good at shooting, but I was even better with patients. Whe had a surprise attack at our regiment, and guess what I was given.... A grenade lanchuer! LOL Someone made an oopsie... Untrained with one Carl Gustaf? Does that sound like good idea? LOL Anyway, you did really well, and I'm so glad you show your mistakes. Not many people do that, not in this kind of videos.

It's interesting on some of those runs he had more time in penalties than the run. Last stage had 180 seconds of penalties in a total time of 270. Seems like taking an extra second every shot would be worth it.

a couple seem to were from some "vehicle CQB" drill before the match, but there were also shooters hitting the glass surface from forgetting about bore offset, especially on the later runs when the car happend to be slightly tilted to the shooting direction.

That looks like fun, if you're in shape. I didn't count the total shots, but owning an ammo factory might make it more affordable. There were an awful lot of rounds in total, and even .22LR isn't cheap any more.
