G'day guys, today we are reacting to Lynyrd Skynyrd Tuesday's Gone. Another great song from this great band. I can't imagine growing up with this music and then watching them leave way too early.

I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the news of the crash came across the radio. I was 17, and just spent another summer swimming in the rivers, keg parties in the woods, riding in the back of pickup trucks from one party to another...ALL, with southern rock and a baggie full of weed as our constant companion. I'll turn 60 next month, and I still get a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when I listen to Skynyrd alone and think of the loss.

Brings back a flood of memories from my late teens early 20's. Hanging out with friends on the riverbank on a Sat. night. Bon-fire going and a cooler full of beer. I'm 50 now, but it seems like yesterday. Thanks for the nostalgia Pat!

One of my best friends FAVORITE song. He loves it so much he named his daughter, who is now 24 years old, Tuesday. This is another one of those songs people always blast at cook outs and BBQ’s around my area. You should react to some Bob Seger. You can’t go wrong with any of his music. When my kids were little, he was our go to Saturday cleaning music. Jamming, dancing & cleaning.

Lynyrd Skynyrd “Red, White and Blue”(LIVE). They performed this song in concert. I enjoyed the whole song, BUT the last lyrics for those here in The U.S.A. who hate and put down America, those last lyrics are beyond wonderful😊.

Really appreciate you taking the time to discover some of great artists that the southern U.S.produced. I think what makes them so good was that they were not just great musicians but that they were great story tellers. There's a few new ones out there that get no airplay one of those are band from Alabama called the Drive By Truckers. If you get time dig around in some of their stuff. If you like the sound of southern rock you'll like them. Post some reactions if you want to. Some stuff is to good not to pass on to someone who would appreciate it. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm willing to trade you some of your hot for some of my cold.

In the Southern United States, Skynyrd and Allman Brothers are almost mandatory bands to listen to. It's like you feel a connection to those songs no matter where you live or how old you are. Glad you enjoy it. Cheers Pat!

Expressing your thoughts about all these indescribably great musicians and their music and then the loss of them (from tragedy or just getting older)really helps all of us that experienced their talent in real time. It erases the sadness and brings us to a place that’s a comfort. Knowing that there is a younger generation appreciating true musical greatness. Just like we did when we were young. Am I really this damn old? Good grief 🙄 I’ve said it before and here it is again, I’m in my 60’s and we were blessed to experience some of the most truly phenomenal music. Music of many genres. I’m really happy that the it’s being listened to again. Thanks Pat🔊🔊🔊

I live near the airport that their last flight left on here in S.C.,I happened to be only 14 months old at the time, but to this day when I drive by the airport I think of that flight. What would’ve happened if it were delayed by a few hours,on and on.Honestly I didn’t respect how great they were until at least 30 years later, but I realize it now. What I wouldn’t give to have a band around like them,Zepplin,The Doors,Floyd,The Beatles today. There sure as hell isn’t anything coming out now worth hearing, and I’ve tried,I really have. So,at risk of sounding like my grandmother,”this new generation doesn’t have their shit together,or a plan of where they should drop it”

Man there’s so much that you’ll discover about Skynyrd if you research !! Ronnie never wrote down any lyrics. The band would be practicing in the hot house and he would go fishing. He could hear them and come back with a song. I’m glad that you’ve discovered them and became a fan, just like with SRV !! I was fortunate enough to see SRV live in 1987, amazing show. Keep up the great reactions my friend !!

As a music lover...the loss of Lynayrd; Duane; SRV; Selena; Prince; George Harrison, now, Willie’s not doing well...no, I don’t know these people but their music is such a huge part of my life...how does it not affect you? Christmas: George Strait has a Christmas album: Merry Christmas Strait to You - its so good and all original songs.

Good commentary. I saw them in July, 1977 just 3 months before crash - there area few great clips from that show - Free Bird and Alabama - yes it was a shock, and then just after the first of the year - Terry Kath died. One of my college baseball teammates was a huge Chicago fan (this was my freshman year in college) and he was distraught,

No matter how many times I hear this song, it can still bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for reacting to it. It took a while, but after the plane crash, they eventually reformed with Ronnies brother doing vocals. They put out several albums that I think have some good music on them. You may wanna listen to Last Rebel, Ask me No Questions or Red, White and Blue. In my old farts opinion, they are as good as the music made by the original lineup and everyone seems to forget about them. Just a suggestion from someone who grew up with their music and they have been my favorite band for over 40 years. Keep up the good work Sir 👍

Dude, a while back you reacted to a Hank Williams Junior song, and tonight you suggested another one. Hank jr. does a nice version of Tuesday's Gone. I won't say it's better than Skynyrd's version, but I will say, that I like it more. Hank jr. Has so much passion and pain in his voice when he sings the song, that the song takes on a whole new meaning. At least it did for me. I'll just say, that the way Hank sings it brings new images to mind.
