It's an abomination that needs to be removed from the game entirely.

Too much money for FIFA to turn down. They're going to burn their fingers.

It's really interesting to me how people can't connect the dots between power and wealth consolidation in football and corporations in general, like sports function outside of capitalism.

Everything has its risks. Just cause some get it horrendously wrong doesn't mean the entire concept should be done away with.

I think a lot of the clubs that did vote for the temporary ban did so on the premise that it is temporary, and in the long term they have every intention using these rules to some extent.

Liv incredibly well run… value has increased 10 folds, we can keep our best players and only sell those we want to sell (Fabhino, Mane, Firmino. hendo, etc…. We can buy the best (VVD, Alisson, Konate, Szobo etc…). Best players want to come (Mbappe talking about it!). Win and challenge in epl and Europe ever year. Incredible training ground. Best manager in the world. Man City can’t be compared as they are owned by a country using illegal means to fund themself.

Comparing PSG and Monaco, mate Im sorry but thats delusional. Regarding Lyon: One of the Clubs with the most tradition in Ligue 1 what a pitty to see there downfall
@NickM_FirstofHisName Жыл бұрын
Mismanagement. The former owner, Jean Michel Aulas, always self congratulated about how Lyon had been qualifying for European cups each years for more than 20 years. So, he saw no point in fixing his now failing strategy, which was to sell his best players each year. He did more and more of it with recent years, leaving the team with only mediocre players. He also staffed himself with a bureaucracy of trustworthy incompetent bootlickers -forgive me, I repeat myself, I already said bureaucracy- ...so...yeah... Incompetence, bad purchase, too much sales of good elements, too many elements leaving, too many elements leaving for free -Grenier, Gourcuff, Gomis, Aouar, Dembele, Memphis Depay...- bad results on the field, bad choice of coaches, because you want a "Yes man" rather than a skilled coach who will butt head (or is it headbutt ?) with you.

So, Lyon's downfall is a combination of many bad choices, mistakes. It's a losing streak.

“One of the clubs with most traditions in Ligue 1”… ummm they had zero titles before the 00s. Dunno what you meant by most traditions but Lyon was only founded in 1950s and was virtually nothing until Aulas took over in the late 80s or early 90s…
@duyanhng843011 ай бұрын
@@randomcon123they did win 7 straight ligue 1 titles, that sure will cemented your name in history
@randomcon12311 ай бұрын
@@duyanhng8430 tradition isn’t about titles unless you are some glory hunters. City might have more premier league titles than arsenal but it doesn’t have arsenal’s traditions and history. Also, the word there was “most tradition “. Pretty sure st etienne had more league titles than them. So even if you counted just league titles as a glory hunter who doesn’t understand French football do, Lyon still wouldn’t be “most tradition” club in France. Hope this helps

£1B ? ? ? Barcelona and ManU... lot's of upside, but you would need to gain control Other clubs would be interesting... but are usually limited by their leagues
@russellward462411 ай бұрын
Because its not about football it's about sponsorship partners. Take Mancchester City for example. Etihad air has increased its value by at least 20xs just from City. Then you built its brand in Japan, Spain, Brasil USA etc.. with these other clubs and that's where they make thier money. It doesn't matter if NYCFC make huge profits or not. They'll make them through building the brands of the sponsors.

WHY YA LYON FOR???
@b.alexanderjohnstone9774 Жыл бұрын
This is wrong. Football can't control state owned clubs and so have now given in on a fundamental. Small clubs will not have supporters in 20 years if they are run to serve another club. I know why Qatar don't care about the English pyramid but what's our excuse?

It can, but it should not be expected to It will always be led by the money It is a monopoly in every country, and should be treated as such
