Thanks for making such a detailed series about this. I don't known if I'll have the opportunity to do it, but one day I would like to make my own lyre based on the Goddess Harp from Legend of Zelda

Nice. I built my lyre by taking a little inspiration from your video.

Nice. Thank you. I still need to work out the tuning especially for the lower notes, but that'll be a work in progress. I'm excited to have it done.

OMG! It sounds soo sweet! Idk if you remember me, but, I said in one of your videos that I would try to follow you and do an lyre harp also, but I couldn't, my woodwork skills are, for now, real bad, and soo much things happened that took my time and atention that I messed up the wood and couldn't find time to make it up again, but, I'll make it someday

I do remember. Sorry it wasn't working out for you. Time is always a challenge. Best of luck with your project though.

fantastic series of videos. do you intend on making the pdf plans for this purchasable ? i would like to give it a try
@rosascreativeworks54034 ай бұрын
Sorry, I don't have .pdf plans. Mainly because this was as much of an experiment as an actual design. I hope to build another version perhaps starting this winter and make it a little larger. The string spacing was too tight for my fingers - though I do have fairly large hands. So hopefully my next experiment will be better suited for folks to try. :) Thanks for watching & commenting.

Any chance that you might sell one?

Alas, I only made one. There are similar lyres available on Amazon, however.

Is it possible to create a chromatic lyre with cross strung systems 5/7 so that you can play chromatic melodies ❤

Wow, those are pretty neat. I've never heard of this before. I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks!

Thank you for these videos; I’m excited to make my own lyre with my dad. Where did you buy the hardware for it?
@rosascreativeworks540311 ай бұрын
That is an excellent question and one I should have addressed already ... but I forgot. So I have updated the video description with links to the hardware materials I used in this build. Hope that helps and best wishes with your own build.

Nice job. It sounds wonderful and is so cute! How much did it end up weighing?
@rosascreativeworks540311 ай бұрын
That's an interesting question. I don't know for sure. I'll have to take it to work and see if I can weigh it.
@rosascreativeworks540311 ай бұрын
It weighed in at 1.5 kg, or 3.3 pounds.
@cherrycordial418011 ай бұрын
Thanks for weighing it! I appreciate it. I have one of the 'cheap' 19-string from Amazon and it weighs 995g. I was curious to know the difference. Yours looks fantastic and fits you well. And I had fun watching you make it. Thanks for bringing us along on the journey! @@rosascreativeworks5403
