A beautiful acoustic version of Before It's Too Late from the Eyes Don't Lie album. From the Rick Dees show 1991.

The scariest, and one of the proudest moments of my career. We were not supposed to do this song. Donny decided that he wanted to do this song after we had a sound check and rehearsal for some other songs we were to do. "JC, I want to do an unplugged kind of thing" Donny says to me. Okay, so, I work it out with the brilliant help of Marc Jackson, (the other guitarist in this video clip) and with no sound check for this tune, we nail it. What you see is a one take performance. Unforgettable.

Oh, thank you for sharing this. Years ago I saw Donny at his book signing and made the comment that I loved hearing his voice with just the two acoustic guitars that his voice doesnt need all that background noise. His voice is the best instrument. Donny Rocks!

This is what music's all about-these guys are really good. I love seeing (and hearing) Donny share the gift that God intended him to be. No need for "puffy" extras like some use today to cover up that fact that many of them lack talent.

I know....it's like one mind! :) I love this stuff. Acoustic Donny is my favorite!! Just him and a piano or a guitar or two is amazing!!
