I interpreted this way. The lyrics depicts the relationship between human and the harvest god/goddess from a human perspective. Directly.
It is similar to the relationship between Sakuna and Humans.
At first, Sakna was forced to help Humans. Thanks to that, they were able to live without going hungry.
Eventually, when Sakuna became very discouraged, Humans believed in her and helped her start over. They became a helpful relationship, like family and friends.

The more I hear this song the more profound it becomes for me. This song has become like a personal prayer for me. I am a follower of Tsubaki Faith tradition and am learning. Knowing Ta no Kami is used as a title for Sarutahiko no Ōkami in this faith, it’s like this song is a prayer to the main kami I worship and pray to! I love even more how it mentions the frogs calling to Ta no Kami twice when frogs become a symbol for Sarutahiko no Ōkami due to their closeness to the sacred earth.
