ABOUT SADIE ROBERTSON:
Sadie Robertson, first introduced to the world as a star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, recognized she could be a positive voice to those in need of an inspiring presence in their lives. At the age of twenty-two, she’s become one of the most prominent voices of her generation. Sadie’s passion is to speak, to write, and to encourage. She is a sister and friend to more than five million followers on her various social platforms, which she sees as a direct line of communication to her peers.
Sadie’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit has helped her become a 'New York Times Best Selling Author', and launch her Live Original brand, which speaks to millions across her various platforms, including KZbin, social media, the Live Original blog, LO Fam Community, the Live Original tour, and her Whoa That’s Good podcast.
Additionally, Robertson has long poured her heart into philanthropic efforts. She has loved partnering with Roma Boots, Help One Now, World Vision, and the World Food Program over the last few years. To date, Robertson has been able to be a voice and agent of change in many countries, including Peru, Somalia, Moldova, and the Dominican Republic.
Sadie is married to the man of her dreams, Christian Huff. They are expecting their first baby.
ABOUT LYSA:
I live at the end of a long driveway in a white, brick house that holds our family’s most important memories. At home, I can be found in my comfy chair with my Bible and journal, writing from my gray table, or gathering with family, playing games and laughing over shared meals.
People assume I’m an extrovert. And I do love people. But I recharge in solitude. Quiet moments of reflection. Praying. Dreaming. Grieving. Asking. Processing. Thinking. Breathing it all in. And then exhaling just as deeply.
After nearly 30 of marriage, we’ve known the depths of marital heartbreak, what it feels like to wrestle through healing, and walking the long journey toward restoration. I also know what it feels like to be diagnosed with cancer and to wonder why God would allow so much heartbreak. My pillow has seen its fair share of tears. But I’ve also seen God move in astounding ways… not always the ways I thought He would, but I guess that’s why we are called to follow Him with faith. And at the end of each day, that’s what you’ll find me doing - going to bed while saying thankful prayers for ways I once again experienced God’s faithfulness that day, big and small.
I wish with every fiber of my heart that we could erase parts of our story. But staying stuck in trying to wish something away will cause me to miss the beauty of what is, and trusting God for what can be.
Our five kids are grown and now have families of their own. Our children all live close to us outside Charlotte, North Carolina. We spend lots of time together at home or up in the mountains enjoying some solace away from the pace of everyday life when we can.
Mothering never stops, no matter how grown your kids get. You’ll always want to protect them and sometimes still redirect them. Cheer them on and challenge their perspectives. Teach them and learn from them. Reach for the stars and kneel down to pray. Doing all of this together with them makes my life both challenging and sweet each and every day.
ABOUT PROVERBS 31 MINISTRIES:
Proverbs 31 Ministries is a non-denominational, non-profit Christian ministry that seeks to lead women into a personal relationship with Christ. With Proverbs 31:10-31 as a guide, Proverbs 31 Ministries reaches women in the middle of their busy days through free devotions, speaking events, conferences, resources, online Bible studies, the First 5 app, and training in the call to write, speak and lead others. We are real women offering real-life solutions to those striving to maintain life’s balance, in spite of today’s hectic pace and cultural pull away from godly principles. Wherever a woman may be on her spiritual journey, Proverbs 31 Ministries exists to be a trusted friend who understands the challenges she faces, walks by her side, encouraging her as she walks toward the heart of God.

Sadie, I love following your families podcast. Your grandfather & you are living proof that we serve a generational God. Look at what he has done in 3 generations. It gives me hope for my own family. We're a blended family with 7 kids. Imagine sending 7 arrows out into the world as servants of Christ? The home is the most important of our battle grounds as Christians.

What happens when you did forgive that person but you're still hurt. And what are your thoughts about wounds
@heidismith7467
@heidismith7467 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ketsia, First of all, God loves you so so much! I am so sorry for whatever happened to make you hurt! So I know personally what that feeling feels like!! So for me talking is SO helpful for that next stage of forgiveness. Sometime when you forgive it feels like all the pain, should all go away but if it doesn't it makes you more hurt! right?! So talking to some one trusted can really help. Second cry out to God in the midst of your pain! He will bring you to a beautiful place that maybe shows you even if there is more forgiveness needed! I am just praying God show Himself to you in mighty powerful ways!!! I love you sister! I don't understand your second question, could you go into more detail?
@ketsiaaman7822
@ketsiaaman7822 3 жыл бұрын
will I heard that when someone hurts you it created spiritual wounds in your heart. If that wounds is not healed it will come again is that true?
@heidismith7467
@heidismith7467 3 жыл бұрын
@@ketsiaaman7822 So I a not claiming to know all about this but here is my view: When someone hurts you it does, I believe leave a wound, when you push it down and don't talk about it or let God heal it, and you just run away from it its still going to be there. Let me give you an example: lets say your doing a puzzle, if you have some pieces of a puzzle missing, and you just keep going with that puzzle ignoring the fact that you have a huge gaping hole in the middle of that puzzle …. well you have a problem! But lets say you deal with that "hole" or wound in your life, you find some of the missing pieces the holes still going to be there, but it going be a smaller hole. Then you learn from those wounds and can truly say you forgive that person AND maybe yourself!?!Does any of that make sense?
