Hi David! What area of I-94 are you referring to? We have a few projects along that freeway across the state. I-95 is not in Michigan.

Sounds like the wonderful folks at TDOT made great use of any emergency funding received to address those lost and damaged bridges. Much like MDOT did with M-30 and other bridges in the area that was affected by that 2020 flooding event. :)

what a sorry State the mACKINAW BRIDGE ONLY TOOK 3 YEARS
@MichiganDOTАй бұрын
Hi there! Keep in mind this was by no means a planned event (while the Mackinac Bridge was decades in the making). A temporary bridge was installed to serve as a temporary crossing while designs (and budgeting) were finalized for a permanent structure that would be built better and more resilient than the original structure built decades prior. Thanks for following MDOT.

@@MichiganDOT every one has Excuses, that bridge could have been done in 26 weeks, i use to live in mi, i was up there may 2023, the same pot holes were there when i left in 1996. lets Talk about the less then Apx 15 years old m6 falling Apart, there is a Reason people are leaving

@MichiganDOTАй бұрын
Hi there! As we mentioned, a temporary bridge was indeed installed following the washout. After that, funding had to be identified to build a new and more resilient structure. As for M-6, that wasn't the only roadway across the country to suffer those same issues due to the standards of the time. Thankfully those standards have been updated and improved and we haven't seen similar issues pop up again.

Hi there! That certainly wasn't the only roadway across the country to suffer those same issues due to the standards of the time, and repairs have been made. Thankfully those standards have been updated and improved and we haven't seen similar issues pop up again.
