Truly one of the most comprehensive and adaptable new product overviews and walk through I've seen in years! One thing that truly stood out for me was the fact that you are actually a user of the product! Thank you, I really appreciate it! If I can offer some advice...in hindsight I wish I had gotten the 49 key. It has the added ability to select, arm, mute, and solo tracks within your DAW and with the addition of the 8 extra faders, I think those are worth the extra. The only exception would be if you don’t care about those extra features or if you really want the portability of the 25. Thanks again!

Hello, I have seen several videos but in none of them does someone talk about how to change the speed of the sensitivity of the keys, do you know how I can do it? for me they sound very loud I don't like the sound it gives me😕

This is incredibly useful thank you. This really helped my purchase. I've just received my oxygen pro 25 but when i put the keys ocatabe to 0 (using th eocatve keys) i lose the bottom 4 notes. Then if i go down 2 octaves then i lose the top octave on the keyboard? Have you seen this? I can't figure it out? When the Keys Oct. is on +1 all keys work. I'm very confused. Thanks again.

By the way, i went with the 49 keys. I tried a 25 arturia mk2 and it just wasn't conducive to composing songs.

Great overview and good detail. I am symptom though. I see some players have drums on the pads but piano on the keyboard. Is there any guide or tutorial to show how to set this up? I am using the 25 and Ableton live.

Just bought the 61 in no small part to your excellent videos. Thanks for your insights. The quick start guide and the DAW-specific instructions on the M-Audio website are a bit incomplete and inconsistent (for example, why not use the LOGIC setup instead of the one "P.T." selection. Nowhere does anyone explain this issue. I'm going to slog through this new keyboard and the instructions and hope not to hit too many more snags. Great videos: keep them coming!

Hello. Is it possible to assign a key on the keyboard to activate the "scales function" with a selected key (or button) in order to play the whole keyboard with this scales mode activated, so that there is no wrong note. And change each selected scales just with a quick button? This would allow to play a bar of several chords without wrong notes. (I don't know if I'm being understanaible, english is not my langage) If it is not possible to do this, maybe you would know a VST that could have this functionality ? On the Yamaha PSR keyboard arrangers, there was a stuff that allowed to use this kind of scales function with pre-recorded songs that recognized the chords. So it was cool to play freely without doing wrong notes. I'm trying to find something similar. Thanks for the help !

I saw all your videos of M Audio Oxygen Pro .. and so i purchased M Audio Oxygen Pro 61 for me ...but i am facing an issue with pitch bender.. the response is very slow .. is there any solution for this ? And even some of the modes are not working at all except "Record" in ableton .... Any solution for this sir ??

Great review and walkthrough so thanks for that. I don't know if I have ever seen the aftertouch value being displayed on the screen while playing. How do I switch it on I have tweaked every setting but with no luck. So two things here, could you help with this problem or can you tell me if there is a way of setting the Oxygen Pro 49 back to factory settings as I cannot find anything on the web.

Thanks Larry! I didn’t have to turn anything on to see the aftertouch value...not sure why yours isn’t showing? You can try a factory reset by holding the octave up and down buttons at the same time while turning the controller on. Just keep in mind this will completely reset the board...anything you’ve programmed or modified will be lost.

@@larryd2785 Have you pushed the white keys down far enough? The aftertouch is activated when you push the white keys down beyond their default value,,,, in other words, once you push a white key down, push it even further, then the aftertouch is activated, its like a spring action in the key, give it a try!

Thanks! You can change the global midi channel (applies to any control set to global under the channel parameter) quickly though the global menu.

I can't seem to get the note repeat in watch mode to repeat without holding down the pad. The light will indicate in latch mode, but still have to hold the pad down to get the repeats. I use Logic Pro X. Any ideas?

Hi, thank you very much for your series of highly informative videos. I have just bought this keyboard and using it with Logic. Strangely, according to M -Audio’s instructions, the DAW mapping to be selected on the keyboard is P.T. (ProTools). The Logic DAW mapping simply doesn’t work. The P.T. kinda works but there is a lot of scope for improvement. That is a real shame because the big selling argument for this controller is that it is supposed to provide good DAW control. I would like to create a custom DAW mapping for better Logic control, but haven’t found any information on how to do this. Can you point me anywhere?

Nice videos, Douglas! I have 49 version and I haven't tried preset editor or even DAW mode. But when I customize, say Preset 9 in preset mode with custom zones, channels, pad colors and what not, the moment I turn off the power all my customizations are gone. The controller Preset 9 is back to default channel set in global menu and zones are off. Am I missing something? Does your controller remember your presets after power off?

Hi there, thank you for your great explanation, DSoundman. I just bought an Oxygen Pro 25 and noticed that some chords are choked during playing in chord mode mostly when they're overlapping. Is this something that you also noticed with your Oxygen or is it just my keyboard maybe because of a manufacture problem? I just heard that you also had this chord problem at kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZrcpX2Dn9qVgNU. Maybe it's strictly forbidden to overlap the chords? I find this very hard to play.

Excellent overview and detail of features. Regarding the MIDI velocity of the keybed, is this also known as "velocity curve" settings? I see this feature in some other controllers but don't see this literature in the Oxygen Pro series manual. Maybe just a different way of describing it?

Thanks! Yes there is, hold the shift button and press the Back/Global button. Scroll through the options and there should be one for the MIDI channel.

Dear I had the 61 key version and I use the logic preset. Everything works fine except that the faders works for the mixer for tracks 1-8 and 9 for master. When changing to bank 2 in order to start controlling tracks from 9 the faders don’t work and I got a message from logic that no input, how can you help?

If you get the Hammer or Oxygen Pro 61’, 49, or 25, PLEASE, contact “Decksaver” to get a custom fit plastic deck saver to protect your keys!!! Now I do “Not” work there! I am just purchasing the Oxy Pro 61 and I want a deck protector by @Decksaver for mine, but, they don’t make one yet, and in order to get them to tool up and make a custom cover for the Oxygen Pro line they need to see interest and requests in order to “tool up the factory” to start making them! Contact Decksaver for your keys custom hard plastic see through protector!!!
