I forgot to mention this in the video, but to save the settings, instead of tapping on the 'Back' button, tap on the 'DAW/Preset' button and it will bring you to the save menu!

Really helpful!! Thank you! Buuuuuut with the color change...when you unplug your midi while changing the colors via the keyboard itself it won't save the preset the next time you plug it back in, it will reset to the default, to save it you have to change the colors throught the m audio oxygen pro mini editor software that you can get throught the m audio website on a PC, there you can save the colors you chose through it's interface. Then when you unplug and plug it back in it will remain the colors you choose along with other changes you make through the software....unless you did mention that part and I missed it then sorry for having you read this!! 😥 But love your videos!! So helpful!!

That's not true if you're editing a preset. You have to save it after you edit by pressing the DAW/Preset button again after you're done editing and it brings up a save menu where you can save over the current preset or save as a new preset and name it with the click wheel. It's easier to do in the preset manager, but you don't have to. Also, if preset manager doesn't open for you in Windows 10, go to the .exe, go into properties, and set compatibility options to Windows 8. I ran into that issue for my setup.

The tutorials and what Google told me is you have to do it through the software to save it but I'm gonna try that when I get home I appreciate it man!

Hi, I would like to ask you about the sensitivity of the pads. Are they reactive enough or do you have to hit them quite hard? Because in a review I read that they are quite hard.

You haven't tell what preset or daw you were on, Once I'm playing the 'Hybrid 'mini grand and the velvet it's all about the piano once I'm in my daw fl studio 20 it's play a single instrument I can't play the piano and the drum in the drum pad at the same time which is my struggle.

Mr. Douglas, please tell me, help me in this matter. In Oxygen Pro Mini, if you run clips and samples in Ableton on this keyboard, the pads will display the same color as the sample or not. I accidentally found a video on KZbin. there it was that the pads glowed only yellow, and when playing green. the pads will display the same color as in the sample or not. or it will just be some kind of monochrome of a certain color. please tell me, in Oxygen about 25, if they change it, then the pads will display the color of the samples that will be in Ableton. Check if the pads are not set to the 2nd pad bank - just click the "PAD BANK" button.

Does anyone know how to change the sensitivity of the pads? I don’t want to have to keep hitting them super hard in order for them to get a not quiet sound. Every time I hit them with a normal tap or hit, they are too quiet. I feel like I have to hit them super hard in order for them to work well. Please help!

Hi, don't know if you have left the building as it is a year ago since you asked the question! I'll attempt to answer it but don't shoot me down as I'm a newbie with this controller. Ok, Press SHIFT and MODE together, the display should give you GLOBE functions. Turn the encoder knob 3 clicks anti- clockwise and you will have PD SENS displayed. Press the encoder and this will give you a selection of options for the pads. Turn the encoder until you see HIGH then press down on the knob. This should give you the highest pad sensetivity. Then press BACK and your pads should be better

Ex. I go to pad 9, type, note, set it from C1 to D1, hit daw, save. When I play the pad, there is no input from that pad anymore. But if I put it back into preset, it works again

Two different settings exist, one for preset mode and one for daw mode. It could be you’re editing the one for preset, but the controller is in daw mode? Hope that helps!

Having a real bad time using pads on this. The pads recognize hits depending on the duration of pressing the pad. If you try to play faster rhythms on them, the pads are not triggered at all. Real bummer - selling my oxygen pro. Akai MPK mini does not have this issue.

I have the same pad problem with my Oxygen Pro 49. Fast pad play is not working good. Lots of times pads are not triggered. I also tested fast pad play on my Novation Launchkey 49 and the launchkey can be played fast with its pads without problem.

why dont you tell the coustomers to use the m-audio as a controller for cubase? that`s the main thing for getting a controler and not funny settings with "colors of knobs? tell the people how to use this device in konkrete lessons? Fast talking and knob use wont help me as a Newcommer with not such a Routine.Or are Newcomers not Interessting enaugh?That`s a bad atitude if you want to bring it to new costumers...
