Olive oila nd avacado oil’s are not suitable for Indian cooking andi because of high heat they become toxic…pls do check and do some research before applying it in ur daily life…better to use cold pressed ground nut oil,sesame oil etc..this is my suggestion pls take it in a positive way

From past 6 years I am using extra virgin olive oil. But it not suitable for indian cooking. It only good for sauteed or if we consume raw oil on hot brown rice. From past 4 months I am using avacao oil and cold pressed peanut oil because of its higher smoke point and suitable for our indian cooking.They both made bigger changes. Eating avacados and salmon fish fillets 2 times per week also helped a lot to increase HDL in a greater levels for my husband.

1) Coconut Oil & 1) Ghee Is the best preferable first options. 2) Avocado OIl is good frys and currys. 3) Olive Oil is good for Salads and dressing. These are based on UK availability. In India planty of best cold pressed oils available.

@@SriLatha-o1t Not recommended Andi. Moreover whatever you are finding Olive oils are refined. Good and original oilve oils is not for cooking, it's good to use it for salads and dressings. Coconut, Butter, Ghee, Avocado are good. In some times, we use repseed oil, as a last preference in UK. In India people have planty of good options.

@@SamyanaKathalu I recommend you to follow Dr. Manthena Sathyanaraya sir, he is equal to 20 scientists. I don’t think so you followed good diet for loosing weight 20 kgs. If you want to lose weight you should eat proper protein(veg protein, not animal protein), vitamins and minerals, otherwise you’ll face health issues after few months or years. You need to learn more about diet food, as I know from Dr. Manthena sir, any kind of sea food, any kind of salts, any kind of non-veg, any kind of eggs, any kind of white products(rice, flour, sugar, salt, eggs, …), any kind of medicinal products(green tea, any tea, cafe), and any kind of oil not good for good health and weight loss, also not good for health which we can’t eat directly(Example: can you drink oil directly? Can you eat salt directly? Can you eat raw non-veg? we can’t so these are not good for health) Please don’t research for health in internet, 50% lies in internet about health. Example: Protein of sprouts shows 3-4% in internet, but fact as Dr. Manthena sir said it contains 50 to 60% Also boiled food not recommended to improve health Study about your body parts how those work and what they need for life time, Example: liver: liver converts any oil into bad cholesterol, then how do we get good cholesterol? We get from oil container products, Example: all dry nuts(Peanuts, Badam, pista, coconut, ….) here we can think we can use coconut oil or something, when separate oil from coconut for example, then eat that separated oil, then liver converts into bad cholesterol, if you eat raw coconut without separating oil, then liver converts to good cholesterol. Most important thing is we should drink water 3 to 4lts in a proper way for body filtering

Hey Sandhya, great job on switching to healthier choices! I've learned that olive oil's low smoke point makes it unsuitable for Indian cooking. Have you considered trying cold-pressed coconut oil instead? It might be a better fit. I have learned that coconut oil is as good as mother’s milk. Please research on this as well. We've been gradually transitioning to healthier options over the past six months so thought of suggesting this oil for better benefits.
