In all the forums over many years, so many PMR users have mentioned that their failures to feed and eject typically happen in the first five rounds. Many have resorted to just loading 25 rounds into their mags and have found a huge increase in reliability. These same people mention how difficult it is to load the last five rounds into the mag. One youtube reviewer concluded the same thing after I did. The mag springs are too stiff, causing a LOT of friction within the mag. The youtuber found an increase in reliability when he sprayed the rounds with a dry lube, thus reinforcing the heavy friction due to too stiff a mag spring. So, I took two mag springs, cut two coils off, reshaped the cut end to be flat like a stock spring, loaded them up, and went to the range. I went from 2 failures per mag with the stock springs, to 2 failures out of 5 mags with the shorter springs. Said another way, 2 failures per 30 rounds to 2 failures per 150 rounds. This is with NO other modifications to the stock PMR. When loading the mags with the shorter springs, you can really feel how much less friction there is, whether using a mag loader or thumbs. Conclusion - the stock mag springs are way too stiff for such a light bullet.

Hell yeah!!! You guys rock!!! If I may suggest one thing next for the cmr30, aluminum folding (or even spring loaded) charging handles to get those big bulky flaps out of the way and make it easier to store and travel with. (Oh and also possibly some extended stainless steel mags?🤤)

I have your spring kit and pin for the lcp2 380 as well as justinstalled millennium g2 spring kit and polish job per your video. Man.. she never ran that smoothly. I feel like a real operator! Lol 😂❤

You guys didn't show anything on the mag catch portion that is on the mag itself . You know the portion where people put super glue to suck the mag farther up into the gun. Did you do anything to improve on that or is the new mag the same specs as the factory in relation to that? That was one hundred percent the reason for all the malfunctions my gun had. I could push up on the mag while shooting and it was pretty much flawless. If not it wouldn't fire 6 rounds without a failure. I have the MCARBO BUNDLE KIT installed on mine and the gun runs about 98%. It's ammo picky so I attribute the 2% to that. I can't rationalize buying the new mag if that issue wasn't addressed. That being said I sure as hell want a few of these if you did address it :)... THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FROM ONE VET TO ANOTHER :)

Mag release was 💯 of one the issues of the main 4 that plagues the pmr 30..I'm sure as a manufacturer they had the insight to make that dimensional correction that kel left its owners to work around like the glue trick, the shim trick etc ..

@@harrycallahan5112 yup, I called em about it and they just thumbed their nose at me over the phone. First and LAST keltec product I ever buy. People bad mouth high points a lot. But to me, compared to a keltec, a high point is a fn high performance firearm :)

I did the shim trick on the mag catch, only went with a section of a heavy duty bobbie pin (maybe 20 thousands?) and superglued it to the mag catch. Worked like a charm and really changes the angle of the next bullet being presented to the chamber. Right after I did this, MCARBO came out with their improved mag release gadget which works great and took out all the slop. So I installed that, which eliminated the hassle of modifying the rest of my mags.

Got rid of mine after 3 yrs because it was unreliable. Always said the mags were the problem. They (kel tec) should build them at the factory with all your aftermarket parts. If they start doing that i will purchase another pmr and ill get the cmr too. Since i got rid of that pmr i bought a ruger 5.7 for my girl. 100% reliable. I think it's time for keltilec To sit down with you guys and start manufacturing them right out the factory with all your parts because the price on them at this point is already too high to start fanageling. That's why I didn't do it the first time. Wasn't worth the time or the money. They should be manufactured correctly at the get go!

I hope this helps with reliability. Been trying to lake mine work for years...all the MCarbo upgrades and experikenting to try and find the magic ammo that works but still get malfunctions on average every 20 rounds or so (It was every 5 rounds when I started, no joke)

I, and many others would love a better quality firing pin and bolt hold open hook for the CMR30. both of these parts break pretty consistantly because theyre made of bad quality steel. A stronger stainless steel firing pin would be the ticket for the CMR30..I can live with a broken BHO if it means i can dryfire the gun without breaking the pin simular to a 10/22.

You’re good, the feed lips expand when loading 30 rings on the factory one and start creating issues. Easier loading.
