明石海峡大橋（あかしかいきょうおおはし） Akashi Kaikyo Bridge

明石海峡大橋（あかしかいきょうおおはし）は兵庫県神戸市（ひょうごけんこうべし）と淡路島（あわじしま）をつないでいるとても大きな橋です。長さは3910メートルあります。橋をつり下げている２本のタワーの間の距離（きょり）は1991メートルもあり、世界一の長さとなっています。
橋がかかっている海は明石海峡（あかしかいきょう）といい、瀬戸内海（せとないかい）と大阪湾（おおさかわん）を行き交う船が集中するため、船が通る数も日本一となっています。貨物船（かもつせん）やフェリーなどの大きな船が橋をくぐりぬけていきます。
橋の上は高速道路（こうそくどうろ）となっています。たくさんの自動車（じどうしゃ）、トラック、バスなどが走っています。自動車の走る音が聞こえてきます。
ゆっくり流れる空の雲や、海の波、たくさんの船や自動車をしばらく観察（かんさつ）してみましょう。
