Good explanation of the applications. Problem with a lot of Asian Sifu’s teaching method is they don’t tell you the applications. “Train, don’t ask” school of thought seems common .

If this is how Taichi fights, then its not different from most external styles and thus should not be called internal style, therefore I believe something is missing here, all these applications are nice but does not show anything unique about Taichi.

TriEssence Martial Arts the truth is there really isnt much difference. The terms Nejia, or internal, and external were made popular by Master Sun Lu tang around early 20th century. Even he is quoted as saying that there is lite difference between them. both "internal" and "external" share a bit of both. arts like xingyi, bagua and tai chi have external and arts like hung gar, choy li fut, and various northern longfists styles (like mizong yi) have internal aspects to their arts.

well, I believe that all kung fu are kind of the same. They all use similar techniques to beat up the opponent. But they may have different emphasize on the style/philosophy

nothing to shout about. I still prefer chen style taichi, Xingyi and Wingchun. Dont find he has much internal strength
