Moru Kaachiyathu
Ingredients
1) Beaten Curd - 3 cups
2) Salt - to taste
Masala
3) Grated Coconut - ¼ cup
4) Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
5) Shallots - 4 to 5
6) Ginger - 1” piece
7) Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves
8) Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
Seasoning
9) Oil - 2 tbsp
10) Fenugreek - 1 tsp
11) Mustard - ½ tsp
12) Red chilli - 4 to 5
13) Curry leaves - 2 to 3 twigs
14) Chopped shallots - 8 to 10
15) Slit green chilli - 4 to 5
16) Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Preparation
1) Grind the ingredients for masala nicely, mix with the curd, adding two cups water also. Keep aside.
2) Season with items 9 to 12, add shallots & green chilli, sauté till transparent.
3) Add chilli powder after putting off the flame sauté followed by the addition of the curd mixture.
4) Let it froth on flame & add curry leaves. Remove when slightly cool add salt, stir.
