Even if we did then make the product we want. We're the customer. We are always right if you want our money. So if we're bigots you might as well get to making entertainment for bigots. Because at the end of the day the creator doesn't matter, they still have to SELL their PRODUCT. That's the part they forget. A movie is just a product that they have to sell. If we don't want it it fails. And we don't want it.

Which going by the story telling disney and these who shout representation to the heavens as being the best thing evar. They are funny enough removing representation of ideas and good story telling. For you can boil down alot of modern movies with the following traits. Hero who is super op, always in the right, might or might not act like a villain and get away with it. Villain is weak, pathetic, no match for the hero in the slightest. Hero has a super hidden power, that no one knew about until it just so happens to be just the right moment for it to be the biggest nonsense possible, so they can win for no logical reason. Which yeah once you clear away all the bs. You see their idea of representation is just skin deep. They want you to like something, simply due to it looking like you. So they don't have to put in any work or effort of telling a good story. For they don't understand the human experience is more than skin deep. That the reason people relate to Peter Parker is not due to his skin color but due to universe things anyone could understand. Like Losing a love one, money issues, trouble balancing personal and work/hero life. These people who shout representation to the heavens don't understand what being human is.

No, I didn't need there to be a 007, Rambo, Mad Max, or any of the myriad of characters in the Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Marvel films that "looked like me" for me embrace them. The word "fun" is such a subjective rabbit hole. it's a lot like "boring" in that it's hard to engage with because what's "fun" or "boring" to some maybe the opposite. For example, I love Shonen battle anime, like Naruto and Bleach, for the characters and the over the top action. But some folks may find that "boring" or "not fun". The point is that these individuals do not have any consistent standards or dare to entertain the fact that the things they like may have flaws or that others will have problems. And before any of these types get on me, I'll be upfront; I liked Avengers Endgame. It doesn't stop me from criticizing the film, the awful time travel mechanics, how Thor was handled, the skipping of events in a five year time skip. But I'm not going to sit here and say that I didn't like the final battle, superficial as that reason is. And not to put myself on a pedestal, but that's the difference between folks like me vs. these individuals. We are self-aware of what we like and aren't defined by it. If someone thinks Endgame is one of the worst movies ever made, awesome. If your arguments and references are strong, cool. Because I try not to have sacred cows. All in all, the Marvels was just an awfully made movie and not in a funny bad way(like Madame Web) where it's so incompetent, it's comical. This was frustratingly bad.

But there's plenty of wrong with the movie, plenty of wrong with Marvel, plenty of wrong with Disney, and plenty of wrong with people who're desperately trying to convince themselves something is good, especially if it's for representation. Marvel and Disney and so on will continue to capitalize on this stuff. People will continue to accept tokenism, when they're desperate for representation. A 9.5? That would put it up there with the best movies of all time. Godfather, Rocky, and Gone with the Wind don't compare to The Marvels. 😂
