They must of noticed at a certain point that they had too many men in the movie, and due to their representation/diversity requirements... They had to force in another female lead. I've been a massive Fantastic Four fan since the 70's, (alongside the X-Men) I've collected many comic books through most of my youth always fascinated by the characters, their personalities, their abilities, and their stories. Especially the Silver Surfer, who's story really captured my attention, including when he had to be become Galactus's herald for the lives of his people.
