Awesome bass cover man. I love bass. I play bass myself. I've been thinking about posting my own bass covers up but idk. Still debating. Girls girls girls is my favorite song by Mötley Crüe, so I want to thank you for this bass cover. Also, I want to thank you for having a Motionless in White poster in the background. They are my favorite band.. keep up the great work!

The Gibson Thunderbird... It's the most beautiful bass ever designed. However... used by the coolest bass player... Spector's custom Sixx 'Spectorbird' basses he used in the late 1980s were just a little bit cooler. I love those damn basses that Sixx had during Girls and Feelgood. The white reverse Spectorbird with syringes on it.. that was so outrageously awesome to my dumb 12-year-old brain at the time. I wonder if even he still has that particular bass. It's was funny. Glorifying intravenous heroin use... you have to laugh that Sixx did that. Anyway, Hamer also made a cool Thunderbird rip. And Sixx used it during their Theater era. But it was probably inferior to Gibson's, so it never caught on with mainstream rockers. Unfortunately during the 1980s Spector only commercially produced their damn NS2 model. Every rocker had one. Even I had one. It was immensely popular. It was the top-of-the-line bass sold at every guitar store (aside from the T-bird). It was 'the' bass every rocker had to have. But why Spector never officially made and sold Spectorbirds like they had made for Sixx was always a mystery to me. They finally did release a Spectorbird in the 2000s. But it just was half-assed in my opinion. They released it with a horrendously unattractive finish and few options. It looked cheap and flimsy, but I could be wrong as I never actually saw one. Did you? Anyway, I have no real point or question here. I'm just rambling because I like talking bass and Motley. Ha!

Mick Obrien I agree with everything u said. I bought a Gibson t bird four years ago all because of motley! And I remember the Dalmatian bass too during the girls era:)

Blackbird was just a lower-cost version of the Thunderbird, right?

Mick Obrien yes. But with a thicker neck and no control knobs. Just a kill switch. And with Nikki's "deep six" pups

Great fuckin tone my friend! Easiest of basslines Nikki contributes but they work so much in a headbanger/foottappers rhythm clock. Mine anyway 🤘 That and with the right sound and execution it just makes me think of a a deep killer fuckin, machine gun of straight bassline for headbangers. Great work Spencer!

I've been learning Girls on guitar and it isn't easy for me. I watch this and think god this is way easier than the guitar for this song. People online say bass is not easier to play than guitar but I see this video and think, yeah it totally is.

Jeffrey Bender maybe for this song but not in general, talking out of your ass
@bradleyburdon23485 жыл бұрын
@@James-tm7vm agreed, I'm a guitar player and yeah I take the piss out of mates that play bass. But in all honesty, the bass is very easier to start off with but hard like anything to master. In some ways harder than guitar so I stand by bassists when they get abused cause it's no walk in the park. Motley Crue is a bit different though

Sometime after posting my comment I bought that bass, and I HATED IT! Sent it back, was glad to pay the restocking fee to get out from under it. They look nice. Neck dive sucks. I like to see the frets when I play.

@@SanitysVoid That happened to me when I bought a Jackson USA RR1T some years ago. Beautiful guitar, not a thing wrong with it, but I found out that the V-shape was just not my thing. Sold it on eBay to some dude in England who had a collection of Jackson RR models from various years and in a rainbow of colors. Think he had around 16 of them, lol. The one I sold him was snow white with black bevels, so it definitely stood out in his collection.
