I never felt like it was a metoo moment...just a super fun memory that the first junk I handled was his. Different times. Vince Neil tongue kissed my, also 13 years old, friend. Have seen many of both types live....one of the best was Nirvana in Tempe at a small venue (After the Gold RUSH) and the Crew in Pittsburgh at the Igloo. Then, I heard the opening guitar riff and they started playing this exact song, the show was in full concert mode while the curtains were still going up. Vince jogs out from the back and starts singing with pyro and smoke all around. Tommy Lee doing his thing on the drums. He's good. It was the perfect opening for a show, it sold me on their music. Nikki Sixx the bassist and who writes the lyrics for Motley Crue, was seeing this Catholic girl who was going to a Catholic school asked her how important is the Lord’s pray and she said very and he asked her to recite it! She was getting dress and than she did and he wrote some notes and took her back! So he took some of the Pray changed up and wrote about what he was seeing! This song was written during his year long addiction to heroine and he wrote about it in his book The Heroine Diaries! Kick Start My Heart came during that year in his life to because he died for 2 minutes and had two adrenaline shots to his heart that saved his life, hence Kick Start My Heart! Home Sweet Home. I remember that being the #1 video on MTV for like a million days in a row. It was a highlight of my day hearing those opening piano notes thinking, Yeah the streak is still going! I must've been 13..and '85 was some of the very best music of all time.

This video brought Mötley Crüe to the main stream... every teenager in America who had MTV found out about Motley Crue. Nikki was fine as heck! OK so yes he OD’d a couple of times but he’s still alive. This is my favorite song and favorite video.

Oooohhhhhh, Motley Crue ❤️❤️❤️! The 80’s was the decade of decadence, sex, drugs, and rock n roll baby. The best decade of music. So much fun to be alive then. They lived the life they sang about. Nikki Sixx wrote a book about his years in the 80’s called the Heroin diaries. Have it, read it, unbelievable book. Loved me some Motley Crue!!! One of the best bands EVER!!

Love these guys. I definitely thought they were wild guys. My friend won us 10th row center tickets. I remember Tommy upside down on with his drum kit & he was dripping sweat right above us. It was crazy & the best time ever.

Giiiiirrrrrlllll.... Trust me, being at their concerts, especially back in the day, was THE BEST! Being in the front row, 3 feet from them. Coming out of the concert with cracked ribs because of the crowd pushing so much to get closer to them. There were barricades between them and the crowd, and those thing cracked ribs. Even then, man, was it worth it! I'm 48 and I was still go to Motley Crue concerts up when they "retired". Then I had tickets to this year's tour, but damn Coronavirus ruined that.

I wasn’t allowed to listen to this style of music until I was 18. I still loved it and even my son today listens to the Crue, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Journey, all the great hair bands from the late 780’s early 80’s. Without Motley Crue breaking the mold, Guns N Roses would t have been as big as they were. Nikki Six was the man who put this group on their path and he died twice!!! After that he cut out the drugs and Booze his writing got so much better. The Album Dr. Feelgood was the first album after the group cut out all the wild nights and partying. Vince Neil was the driver in the vehicle that killed another person in another rock band. Tommy Lee was a daddy at 16. The Other guitar player was older than the rest of them and stayed out of all the BS. This is an amazing group. If you ever get to watch the documentary on them, take the opportunity!!!!
