Welcome back to my channel!
I finally upgraded my 2014 MacBook Air to the new M1 MacBook Pro 13". I went with Apple Certified Refurbished because I've heard great things about the quality of refurbs from Apple. They're very carefully inspected + quality controlled, parts are replaced if needed and they come with one year warranty. Most refurbs are also just recent returns/exchanges anyway! My new MacBook doesn't have a dent or scratch anywhere and only 4 battery cycles!

Apple refurb is great! I’ve gotten refurb products from Apple in the past and never had a problem. Everything is pretty much new (charger, battery, and casing). And you save some money! Great vid ❤️

@@lovehearts450 i love my m1 pro! it's super, super fast and the keyboard is miles better than the 2017 butterfly keyboard that i upgraded from. i've only had it a few days (so i can't say if i'll have issues down the road) but right now, i highly recommend if you're looking for a new computer :) hope this helps!

I got an open box (geek squad Best Buy certified) 2020 MacBook Pro this week as well!! It’s the one with the intel chip though, saved $200 off the original price and overall $350 price diff compared to getting the M1 chip! Holy crap I didn’t know about the keyboard cover thing, all of my friends and I do that. Will let them know when they get new laptops cuz I’m sure the damages already done

Have you heard anything of the lifespan of the SSD in them? There’s programs you can download to check. I want a refurbished one but they don’t come with new hard drives. I also feel with my luck somehow I’d get a bad battery with high cycles... lol

Using one! It can trap dust and dirt causing micro-scratches and also overheat the laptop. However I didn’t have this experience with my MacBook Air that had a hardshell case 😊

most hardshell cases aren't thin enough, so they end up digging into the hinge and the two parts of the laptop become looser. i've experienced it using those generic laptop case sets on my air, and now just nudging my laptop swings the screen back already.
