Tyre profile matters too, as an old tyre, especially if you do a lot of highway miles, gets squared off in the centre. Sometime, the new tyre, with the correct profile will just feel so much more nimble too.

I have a 250 on my bike, and I be LEANING my beast in the corners... But, the approach to the corner, turn is important!!!

Absolutely. I think a 240 is a good compromise. I felt a big difference with the 260. Thanks

The stock tire ( Dunlop ) is a more square tire . Giving the impression of riding the edge of a table. I went to Metzler 260/40 for a more rounded profile and eliminating the table edge feeling. My bike is lowered and this 1 inch taller tire helped reclaim some corner clearance.
@richthereturnrider6737 Жыл бұрын
Ok. Different strokes for different folks. I have no experience with Dunlop so I’ll take your word for it. My experience with the Metzler 260 vs the 240 is night and day. This bike have a limited lean limit. Lowering it to me is not an option. I do understand searching for that custom look but just not for me. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend. Ride safe.

64 years old and really enjoying the 9, I’ve went from Dunlop elite stock 240 and upsized to Metzler 260 , Dunlop is definitely a flatter tire, and requires a little more effort handling compared to the Metzler, and if you measure from edge of tread to edge there is only 10mm difference more on the Metzler, and being more rounded it eases the handling drastically. My 2 cents.
@richthereturnrider67378 ай бұрын
I think the Metzler is a great tire. Handles great even in wet weather. Your measurements is interesting. The 260 is capable and required a little more effort for me than the 240 but still great. Thanks for putting in your 2 cents. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I like this. I just put a Avon Cobra Chrome 260 on mine. I can still break out 16ft uturns. I love the 9. The 260 does require alot of effort, especially at low speed. The 240 is more mobile. For me, the 260 feels better overall for my style.
@richthereturnrider673710 ай бұрын
It might take a little bit more effort but still doable. I was told the Avon is a great tire. It’s great you can do 16ft Uturns with the 260. Thanks for watching. Keep Rocking the 9. It’s a great bike.

As you stated riding the BULL takes deliberate actions to ride . It will intimidate with speed and size if the rider becomes to relaxed.

I don’t understand what you mean by light. Elaborate a little more. Nothing feel light about this big beast. It handle way better in turns to me but depends on the type of riding you do.
