Just a funfact. The m113 also has throttlebody connector issues.Minor connector resistance on the pins on the throttlebody connector itself, can cause correlation issues between the throttlebody sensors value, and pedal sensor calue. The fix is to replace the connector and pins on the throttlebody connector. Greetings from Norway,Stefan

Is that even accessible without removing the intake manifold? Theres not a lot of room back thare 😄

Good work. You have dodged a bullet there, as the W210 ECUs have been known to fail.

Thanks for the tip, have to buy that spray can to clean circuit boards 👍

i mainly use it for electrical connections in sockets as well as chip sockets on boards etc. I am doing more electronics stuff than ever these days, I love it, I’ve always loved it and am getting more confident every day. Theres better things for cleaning boards btw. I used this mainly for its ability to dissolve oxidisation and wash it away.

Interestingly, I have been having nothing but PROBLEMS with the throttle actuator system on my 2000 ML55 AMG. My electronic throttle bodies kept self destructing. After throttle body #3 exploded randomly, i finally ended up replacing the ECM with a virginized used one, and have had no problems since. The ECM looked MINT both inside and out. Doesn't mean anything! I think the lesson here is that these computers definitely do outright fail sometimes.

Your electronic knowledge is impeccable, you don't work in that field do you?

This is completely out of topic, so I apologize in advance, but I'm looking for new front speakers for my W124. Do you still have those ESX QE120 on your red one, and are they any good? Now there's a new model which is slightly better and a bit more expensive, the QXE120, I guess the advantage of this one is that you can get them in a bundle with an amp, which I'm not really looking forward to do at the moment. I'm running the original Becker Europa 2000, so nothing ground breaking power wise...

the speakers really should be run in combination with an amp and preferably a sub, they are OK but be aware they produce zero bass. I have them running straight off the deck but to be honest the amount of time they have been used in red can be counted in 2 digit minutes only. I am too concerned about bending the new old stock, no longer available hirshman mast to turn on the radio 😂

@@MMWA-DAVE Yeah, that's what I expected. The problem is that I don't want to modify the wiring (which I just returned to 100% original) to fit an ISO amp. Maybe a project for the future. Thanks for your input!
