M113 V8 intake manifold turning 180°
So why. turn the manifold . Because if makes a shorter routing on the intake piping. Also the space behind the engine is not enough to have a nice clear routing and the piping would not look nice running all over the engine. It is just not how i want it.
The removal of the manifold is pretty easy just 10 bolts and some hoses. the egr on the back needs to be removed. that's it.
when turning the manifold. there need to be 3 holes to be covered. from the EGR system. i need to find a solution for this . Also the lifting point on the front of the engine needs to be removed. And the throttle body needs to be placed different because it will not fit. The manifold is 23mm lower then the top of the distribution cover.
So im thinking of a space plate that wil also cover the holes directly maybe 10mm or so. This will be for the next video

Oke. Body has no modifications. To fit the engine . Only the steering housing. And the engine mounts are custom

Yes the engine van handle that up to a certain amount of pressure . But space is a thing also in a w202

@@JMSpeedshop I was going to do it like Ken blocks hoonicorn mustang with them out of the bonnet using the turbos from a skyline as they have specific left and right turbos. Do you think I need forged rods and pistons?

Depends on your power goal. In going on a stock engine . Pump fuel max 0.8 bar IT Will be about 580crank max . If you want more internals.need to change . Of maybe e85 you can stretch IT a bit

So random question on a m113 engine what causes the intake manifold to shotgun explode. In the front specifically, by the water cooler? Kind of a real head scratcher.

Yes :) I have a full set of w211 compressor amg except ecu. I'm planning to plug it into my n/a m113 but I can't find detailed information anywhere.

It will fit without any problem engine is outside the same . Only front timing cover is different. The mount for the air fan is not on a m113k model

I understand Thank you. I'll start disassembling the engine soon. I'm doing research to address some of my concerns. In some forums, comments have been made that the s/c clutch does not grasp. I will try and see 😊
