Have you used MB tool# 604589004000 to replace the chain on a 163?
@JMSpeedshopКүн бұрын
Hello I can not find the tool specific on Google you mention but to chance the chain the parts that are helpfull are the tools.thst keep the camstafts in position
@markk713320 сағат бұрын
@@JMSpeedshop the tool prevents buckling of the chain while drawing it on, similar to replacing one on a 117 without removing the cover.

Yep, egt's..good idea. Just make sure the tip is in the middle of the pipe.. Back pressure pre turbo (tip) also, put one the the dump pipe for turbine exit pressure (tep) only 1psi is enough to change the lambda reading 5% richer than it is.. Maybe a good idea to put an extra lambda sensor bung somewhere down stream near the back for the dyno sensor.
@JMSpeedshop7 күн бұрын
Yes will have look to put a sensor there. After the turbo . The dyno has a a system that can slide.in the exhaust in the back .

I have no room for a turbo in the back in this car . But you also have to deal with and extra intakepipe to the front . And the turbo needs lubrication. So also an installation for this is needed. There are benefit,s but also a lot that makes it less then a turbo in front
@motorinomario8 күн бұрын
Hoi, was met een bi turbo de gehele balans niet beter geweest? Groeten Mario
@JMSpeedshop7 күн бұрын
Dubbele gevoeligheid.

have you improved/changed how you stick the heat shielding to the manifolds?
@JMSpeedshop7 күн бұрын
Yes. 😃 Just tried in this afternoon . Wil show it in the next video
@bicylindrico8 күн бұрын
It would appear your engine is farther forward than mine but then again it looks like your 'crossmember' under the engine is more narrow than the 400E V8 which would allow for more room? Not sure if anyone knows this and could comment but my car looks different at that area. I used the rear transmission mount to determine my drivetrain position. Did you have to modify the driveshaft length? I am guessing you didn't. The 400E has an aluminum transmission crossmember so it's hard for me to compare. I really appreciate your fabrication and welding skills! I could certainly benefit from them. Looking forward to the next one!

i have all the coupé from mercedes being the oldest a american version of the now called S class , 1965 , 280 SC. I have two of this, one came from Canada with a 300 turbo-diesel engine not available in Europe that had also the 230CE, loved it, it´s a great car and with american bumpers or the front beer bench to warm our backs with the heat coming from the engine while drinking a beer, this before go surfing at a perfect beach with long area of sand and perfect increasing size waves of crystal clear water in the afternoon, this in sunny late November and in early 90´s, whle listening to Pixies , Jesus and the Mary Chain, the Cult, Siouxie and the Banshes, also a bit of Mission and Sisters of Mercy at personal taste for better seasoning. but what a car it was , refering to the at the time bought turbo-diesel, of this colour, have also a early 70´s w114 coupé with the tinier body also the 74 coupé w115( big body) ,same body but better finishings as the already sold at the time w123 tinier body only in 77 ,not sure now they released the 300D with the bigger w123 body, allthough my father drove a w115 240D 3.0 or with the 300D engine in 75

Hi, thanks for the video. I have a C180 COMPRESSOR 203. Mine doesn't change the auto gears; it just goes on i gear. The speedometer is not working. The temperature gauge is playing up and down. Even the small manual is not working. When I put on drive on the dash, it shows neutral, but after a while, it will go to drive. Can it be the gearbox control module? How many liters of atf oil should one put in the sump?

It depends on the car but you should get the car started and there is a level for 20c. And 80c. So that is how you check
