M135I UPDATE! | IS IT FIXED?

It has been a few weeks since my last update with the M135i and if you haven't watched my previous video you would have missed that there have been a few very small issues with the car. In this video I wanted to address them and update on whether they have been fixed or not!

Good going on the mileage front. I've only managed 1000 miles in 6 months of ownership so looking forward to getting out more now. My only problem is finding the ideal driving position. I'm forever trying different seat/steering wheel combinations but I'm sure putting more miles on the clock will sort that out. Best options that I went for that weren't really necessary are the Comfort Pack and Panoramic sunroof. Head up display is great but wore my shades today and it completely disappeared. LOL.

The noise change is probably a result of your amplifier being fixed, as most of the new hot hatches play engine sound around the cabin of the car

Nice insights, thanks. Mine is ordered, I will get it and of August, or so I hope. You never know with all the shortage of integrated circuits these days. I heard another owner stating that the exhaust sound settles arount 1500 km to a more sporty one, though thanks to EU restrains it cannot be as prominent as in the past.

Love the car, glad i've found someone thats also gone for the darker trim on the inside as well. Starting to wish i ordered the black leather seats as well! mine keeps getting delayed out of the factory, i should now be getting it first week of May - the exhaust definitely gets better once the cars been broken in Have you got any plans for the car?

I like the darker trim inside, it's a very rare thing to find on an M135i. The leather is lovely, I had the cloth seats on one that I ran around 12 months ago and they are still mega! Agreed! I think mine keeps sounding better and better the more miles I do in it. In terms of plans I'm not too sure yet to be honest 🤔 I would love to get some big road trips under its belt, north coast 500 would be incredible 👍🏻

I had the exact same issue with the bass. On my way to the dealership to show the issue, the bass did not work, but when I arrived and turned the car back on to show the issue to the mechanic, it was working. I looked like an idiot, lol. Anyway, they called the factory and were told that it was a common issue and they fixed it. :) I am now at 11k kms in 5 months and I also noticed a change in the sound, I’m just a bit disappointed that it doesn’t have pops and bangs like the demo car I test drove :(

I'm glad you got the issue sorted 👍🏻 it was similar to my experience, the bass was working fine when I took it in but thankfully it was a well known issue. Yeah I agree about the sound, I wish it popped and banged! It does on start up! It's a tease!

Seriously considering one of these, coming from a m140i it's a big leap for me personally but hearing a lot of good things. Just got to get the right car for the right money now and a reasonable trade in for my m140i

Trade for a 135i, I promise you will not be disappointed. Every one I know of who has converted has said it was a good choice

M135i f40 you will not regret. Overall I feel is much better than the previous m140i. But you want 6 cylinder and loud exhaust sound. Then continue driving the m140i. M135i looks grow on me and the handling suits me well for day to day driving and some b road and light track use.

Update Took one for a test drive loved it ordered one with things I wanted, came in at just short of 40k 😮 delivery September

The steering intervention thing is so annoying!! Hoping I get the update to keep it off permanently and it stops coming back on each restart!

As of May/June, the dealers are saying the wireless charger isn't available for this car. This is seriously annoying. Is there an alternative to a stand alone USB charging pad?

Yep you are correct, there is a shortage of microchips I believe for the wireless charging pads, I haven't seen a stand alone USB charging pad.
