The Best low-carb diet to accelerate fat loss.
For most people, how many carbohydrates they eat will determine whether they are gaining, maintaining or losing weight. Limiting your carbohydrate intake is probably your best weight loss option.
Figuring out what your Carbohydrate Sweet Spot is for Weight Loss can be confusing. We all need to eat nutritious carbs like fruits and vegetables for good health. We want to cut back; however, on the empty calorie carbs like breads, pasta, rice and processed high carbohydrate foods such as soda, cake and cookies. In addition, we have to take into account how active we are. If you’re sitting behind a desk all day you should obviously be eating less carbohydrates then someone doing manual labor all day.
Carbohydrate Guide for Weight Loss:
Fifty (50) to one 100 grams per day is a good range for most people who are moderately active to lose weight. There are about 4 calories per gram of carbohydrates so that would put you in the 200 to 400-calorie range. If you are more active then the average person, then go with 100 grams. If you’re less active, try 50 grams. These 50 to 100 grams is a pretty safe range that will keep you losing weight steadily while keeping you out of ketosis.
One hundred and fifty (150) to 300 grams a day is entering the danger zone for most people. Once you start eating 800 to 1,200 calories a day in the form of carbohydrates you will most like be slowly and consistently gaining weight. Unfortunately this is the range I find most people fall into who are trying to lose weight but are failing. The only way you can go that high with your carbs is if you are very active and burning calories all day long.
I do believe that a low to moderate Carb diet is your best way to lose weight fast.

Love this video! When you say 100 grams of carbs ...... are you just taking junk carbs or are you including carbs from plants and veggies?

Carbs mostly from veggies and some fruits (whole natural food).

Mixing carbs and fat is the problem. If you eat healthy carbs alone without fat you wont store fat. I'm doing vegan keto right now and its so hard not to reach for fresh fruit. I'm going to work in carb cycling after I get a good couple weeks of ketosis. Only like 100 grams once a week of healthy fruits though. I do not want to damage my metabolism and adrenal glands further. I already have adrenal fatigue and metabolic damage. Do you have any recommendations? I do know the day I eat my carbs will be my cardio day. Typically I do Hiit 12 min a day since I'm 36. Not trying to raise cortisol.

6:20 nails it. Drop your calories and stop worrying about the carbs. Low carb diets are just lower calorie diets in disguise.

What is the food equivalent of 100 grams of carbs? Is it an apple or a potato, or a slice of bread?

Hi Colin... There's about 4 calories per gram of carbohydrates. So 100 grams is about 400 calories. Unfortunately you just have to look it up. For example a large baked potato is about 160 calories and 35 grams carbs. Best - Mike

I'm going to try this. Come to think of it, all I eat are carbs. It wouldn't surprise me if I'm near 400 grams of carbs daily. Would 150 grams be ideal or should I aim lower,

All I care about is eating my damn fruit n veggies at least once a week. Veggies I can do on keto but fruits its hard. I'm a eat a full bag of grapes or cherries kind of girl.

Hi Krysten...I did a video about not eating carbs and fats together. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mX3VnYanmpmDmNE Sorry about the adrenal fatigue ....I would just take it easy and try to get enough sleep (at least 8 hours). Make sure you are getting enough potassium and sodium while you're on a keto diet. I like those cold press green drinks....very high in potassium for the amount of carbs. I like this brand Evolution Organic Greens & Kale ( 16oz, 50 calories, 440 sodium, 1,220mg potassium and only 10g carbs).
