i feel like the way he responded to the knockdown thing wasn’t really meant with any derision. i think he will just absorb it better if he labs it himself. i agree that he’s not the most amicable streamer to watch out there though. i think he’s one of those ppl who gets frustrated w their own decision making or tech skill in the moment and is expresses it outward unfortunately. if i was a streamer who was clearly frustrated at something i wouldn’t respond well to people telling me to “take a break” either as much as it is probably good advice and well-intentioned. like i said though i also don’t find his streamer personality to be very friendly most of the time lol.

2:21 hey bro i think your tech skill and decision making are REALLY good... i just came from your hbox video and i think (altho you know yourself as a player way better then i could) i think that if you worked on staying actionable on the ground and using your wavedash to avoid more hits in neutral then you could be really good AND BEATING these guys... especially against slower characters like falco (and to some extent puff, characters that dictate pace v easily), sometimes they do habit stuff that you can avoid because they rely more on hard reads (or else catch you becasue theyre 'good characters' with better 'general option coverage'... i think if you chose when to and when not to engage then you could get caught less with some of their more reliable starters. Marth is a great character to compare to as luigis best strategy is similar (evade -> juggle) so i guess i wonder if your out-there style could be enhanced by choosing some 'out-there' escape, dodge or avoidance options to enhance your defensive play... MANgo just posted a video about how falco loses to platform campers - something slippery luigi does well

anyway i've been watching you (and the other luigis) for a while and wondering what some of the missing links are to make luigi stand out... The weird characters are only best at what they can do that is unique,, and luigis movement feels very similar to like an amazing combo of falco's and marth's. Super slow but also super slippery... falco works best if you use platforms and wavedashes to speed up (see spacie jam part 1 w/mango and kjh) and marth only works if you're intimately aware of how to navigate the stage spaces, stay moving, and combo correctly (mostly learning the optimal juggle patterns) and luigi is frustratingly needing of both. You have to be super good at movement tech skill to get around but also very aware of your trees and juggles and chaingrabs and idk... luigi has so much potential...
