It's a bit of a shame on BMW isn't it, the A45 and RS3 are admired the world over for breaking the hot hatch barrier and ushering in a whole new world, a whole new league of the hyper hatch where they exist as the sole operators. BMW slept on the job and were unable to engineer a 1 series of that calibre, now to give the some relevence there, car journalists typically bring a BMW with a bigger engine that's got a lot of cylinders and that's a rung above the two, what a shame.

For the fact that BMW cant put power in small engines thats why we dont have M1 to compete with the 2, it took 3.0liter engine 6cylinder to compete with 2.5l 5cylinder and 2.0l 4clylinder cars and you happy with the win I must commend AMG engineers because they manage to put power in small engines New c63 is more powerfull than M2 even without electric motor because it produced 350kw from 2.0l 4cylinder engine So if Amg produces the next A45 and put the c63 engine in it M2 from its 3.0l inline 6 wont be a match
