A colleague of mine was driving an artic eastbound taking the M26 off the M25 and had some reason to pull onto the hard shoulder. A few seconds later a woman car driver nearly missed the same turnoff and ended up swerving across the chevron area and lost control hitting the central crash barrier and bouncing off it just as my colleague was walking down the side of his trailer. She crashed into him and slid along the side barriers under the side of the trailer taking off both of his legs. A small crowd gathered and watched helplessly as he bled to death and he died about 20 minutes later on the side of the motorway. Yes it's idiots like these that should never be allowed to drive again.

I've witnessed it many times in driving when a female driver has just clipped a kerb and she's taken her hands off the steering wheel in surprise. Another case was when a woman and her friends went out to a pub to celebrate her passing her driving test. On the way home from the pub, inebriated she too clipped the kerb and lost control of the car. Her four friends were killed and she was the only survivor.

I'm on the M25 fairly often. The number of times I see people doing exactly what that Renault Van did is unbelievable. Too fast, lack of awareness & total disregard for everyone around them. I hope it hurt because that driver deserved it.

Why are people walking along the motorway without HIVIZ jackets on? Just asking to make the situation much worse. Why is it not manadatory to have a HIVIZ jacket (per person) in all vehicles as required in most European countries?

It’s incredible to think that all these drivers actually past their test at some point. The driving test seems to be about going through the motions to get the licence and then deciding that you can just do whatever you want to after that. They don’t really take the concept of “ respecting other road users “ seriously. That part of the Highway Code should become like an oath you have to swear .

it was a lady as the description goes on top. I saw the discipline of all until this little beast just shoots through from right to left at 1:42 and vanishes As I thought "bad" i immediately saw flashing caution by all vehicles ahead and (Lo!) there she lies with her front mashed up

This guy with dashcam was great. I do not know what went through his mind as the terrible vehicle zipped through from his right to left in front. Immediately as this vehicle vanished from sight this man saw the smoke, reduced his own speed shifted to next lane. And lo! there the mayhem as he approached. He immediately pulled over after the last victim apparently to share his dashcam video. He and his camera sitting on elevated position in his cabin were witness to the arrogance of that little beast long before the actual event.

If you watch you will see the NAGEL Group truck was in the process of overtaking the truck ahead in the outside lane. I suspect the Nagel truck was just about clear when the female in the Renault van moved (shot?) from the outside lane to overtake, passed the inside lane truck, then possiblely mistimed her cut back into the outside lane and hit the rear left-hand-side of the Nagel truck, which would account for the extremely trached ringhthand side of her van

The Renault van hit the back of the truck in lane 2. Probably at around 80-90mph. The truck in lane 2 would have been doing at most 56mph. Driving under the rear of a trailer is one way to kill yourself. The bumper of the trailer would have been inches from her head, you can see where it has bent the window frame of the van. She must have been on crack.
