M2R RF 160cc first start and ride 🤙🏼New machine from funbikes UK, 160 pitbike field ride 🙌🏼

First video on the channel for pitbike and enduro content, maiden ride out on the new M2R RF 160cc. Standard bike out the box, only upgraded grips to ProGrip and oil change before taking it out to a private field.
Few issues with starting due to high compression on the bigger YX 160 engine and also the spark plug cap kept popping off while moving. Other than that the bike runs like a gem and sounds mint 👌🏼

Hi mate, bought one of these last week, the kick back is unreal when kicking, can you help please

Mine was too mate, had to adjust the inlet and outlet valves. My inlet valve when warm was literally shut tight, compression builds and causes the kick back, aswell as making it harder too start! 0.08mm on the inlet and 0.10mm on the outlet, will maybe make a video in a few weeks if it will help 👍🏼

how do you even start the thing i got the same bike and can't get it to start i have the choke set up and still just won't go or it dose start sometimes but it just cuts out

All about the valve clearances lads (tappets), great bike once they are set up, mine was a pig to start until I sorted them and then i put a 28mm molkt carb on for good measure

Hi don’t know if any one will answer me on here put just bought a 140cc version and having trouble with the choke. When it’s on full and half choke it runs absolutely fine but when you turn choke of it splutters cuts out when given revs. Any help would be massively appreciated

Hi mate, I presume this will be down to the air fuel ratio on your carb and you just need to adjust the carb to make this better, try adjusting while it's running and rev it after each adjustment until it sounds right 👍🏼

For me its a great bike for general riding, nothing serious. If your going to try race it then will need to venture into the next pricier bracket of pitbikes

Only problem ive had is it sturggles to start once warm, will need to have a look at the valve clearances but believe that will be the problem, not too much of an issue to resolve!

Never ridden an apollo but the price is abit steaper than the M2R so suggests they fit more pricey parts, cant confirm which is best but the M2R does go well!

Requires some mods to register as road legal i think mate, never registered one myself so couldn't advise exactly what. Straight petrol in the tank on these 4 stroke YX engines 👍🏼

@@RaulJohn-xh4dm 2 years later after buying 3 not all m2rs and have none lol. I bought the 140cc in the end and it basically played up straight away. Not hard to but defo need to be kept in good nick after every ride maintain it and clean its etc. recommend for a mess around but also have YCF be prepared to spend a lot of time or money if unlucky both…
