M3 ‘FIXED’ Brake Booster Sensor Installation - How To Guide

In this video we fix the Limp home mode issue with the M3, if you fault find using Carly your BMW and find logged codes like these:
2794 UNDER PRESSURE SENSOR MASTERVAC ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC
2739 AIR MASS METER SECONDARY AIR ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC
27C5 AIR MASS METER SECONDARY AIR PLAUSIBILITY
You have probably got the same fault as I found, the fix is a new Brake booster Sensor.

Same issue here, on My E93. I was doing other Prev. 😂. i.e. Plugs, injectors, throttle actuators, idle control valve, fuel breather valve, Vanos covers, valve gaskets & valve covers! I had scheduled to have the work performed, then: I went into “limp” mode! I was certain it was the Throttle Body Acuators! I was so happy to get my car returned in “tip-top” shape! It sounded like a Dream and ran great! Then, after less than 100miles, “LIMP MODE” again! Code showed: Brake booster 😢. Long story short. That was the culprit! I hope 🤞🏾 😂. I found your video which has me pretty certain it will be remedied. Thanks and Cheers 😊

@@ltakallen brilliant buddy, you can waste a lot of money changing things that don’t need changing, And something is simple as a silly sensor can make these cars unusable.

I agree. This was to ensure I addressed “known” issues, “proactively” so it was all pre budgeted. The Brake booster was “another” 😂. Alls good 👍🏾

Seems like a straight forward job once cowling cover is removed and brake reservoir to gain more access. May I suggest rather than removing top and bottom nuts completely, just remove the top one, and then loosen the bottom one all the way just before it comes fully undone. This will make sure bottom nut stays on without having to drop it, and it would be easy to tighten it once done 👍 Cheers 🥂

In your previous video you reset it and it was fine. Did the issue keep recurring and so you had to replace the sensor and hose?

Yes mate, the code kept re-occurring, there was a hard fault
