Question how useful/powerful would you say volt is for the Templars?

Ultimately its biggest weakness is that it has to compete with Rend/Parry, which is also a guaranteed hit, usually does more damage, and can be used to keep an enemy locked down. Volt is, for most enemies, basically just an unreliable stock. You can use it on things like Mutons, but you'd be better just Rending something else and letting the rest of your team deal with the Muton. It's decent against Psionic enemies, but there aren't a lot of those in the game, and fewer where you'd prefer Volt over Rend/Parry. EDIT: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaPSo5mHadR7rLM
