This movie was hilarious for all the right reasons! The sass that Megan puts out is just on the mark. The dancing that is shown in trailer, really seems to come out of nowhere when you watch movie, but if I had to guess it was move by Megan to distract the boss from her goal of killing him. Overall a great movie and will be watching again, hopefully a rated R version that could be put out later.

I like how when Gemma was confronting Cady about Brandon. Cady puts the glass down on the table instead of the coaster but M3gan doesn't say anything to remind her. Either to annoy or prove a point to Gemma or just to make Cady run over Gemma or that she was worried about the suspicion😂

This movie was so much fun, I saw it late this afternoon!! I was pleasantly surprised (and shocked) at how busy it was (and how many kids were there - like 6, 7 year olds!!) 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🙈🙉🙊 M3GAN is an icon! She takes the "Annabelle" doll creepiness and adds that layer of dry and sassy humor that really puts the "other dolls" to shame!!😂 The movie had me laughing about 2/3 of the time... like U2 said... when homegirl is on screen, it is something!!! Over the top in the best way!!! From her poses, to her walk, to the kills, to the sarcasm and side-eyes 👀 !! ... and when Miss M3GAN started singing "Titanium", I almost lost it!! 😅🤣😂 Thank you gents for another awesome review!! I agree w/Joseph on this one... 3.5/5!! 😍 My friend asked me to see it w/her this weekend (I didn't tell her that I saw it)... What a no-brainer!! Count me in! 😍🥰

Yoooo! I freaking love this movie. Just watched it at the AMC Dine In theater. I had fresh popcorn with butter and salt and a strong Long Island Iced tea ($18.20 🤨) I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. When she sung Titanium I fell out and when she was dancing by the fax machine I could not stop laughing. Pure comedy. This movie wasn't scary at all. Felt like a horror comedy genre. Okay I'll watch the review now I just have to comment and finish my cocktail in the car before I drive 🤪 Happy 2023 Guys 💜

There's some Robocop thrown in there when those 🔫 machines go bonkers in the meeting in one of the beginning scenes. I need to rewatch The Good Son with all these Macaulay reviews 😆 They should have thrown in a Good Guy doll in the background for fun like James Wan does with the Jigsaw puppet.

Good review. I saw it yesterday and I found the pace to be a little slow. You have an excellent memory of the plot. The creepy dancing was just over the top for me and there should have been more of that and I like the way the boss takes it all in and starts running, yelling security.

Faye Grant from "V"? I loved her on that show. Thanks for a full break down of Megan. I did see MORGAN a few years ago - so far I've only seen the trailers for Megan, but the vibe I'm gettting is Westworld meets Splice... where the best intentions all go very wrong. Megan vision sounds like Terminator vision, like in T2 when Arnie detects "carcinogen" in the smoke blown on him during the opening bar scene. I don't know if this is available in your country, but you both might like "Akta Manniskor" (Real Humans) a Swedish drama/ horror TV show from 2014 approx, about AI/ Androids (called Hubots in the show) integrated into everyday society and what could go wrong. They only made 2 seasons, but well worth a watch imho. The Hubot aesthetic is very much 1981s The Incredible Shrinking Woman, vivid colours and outfits.

I soooo agree regarding the observation in the room. That scene was so good I went back and watched it again. It was really incredible and the moment I realized I really liked this film. Megan really is queen of the side eye and I look forward to all the memes 😭😭 I agree with Megan malfunctioning with the water. I think everyyyybody felt that was a bad plot point. A doll like that would absolutely be waterproof or at the very least water resistant.

In the stills, Megan looks a lot like these dolls my sister had growing up. They were called American Dolls. They were oversized. And they came with outfits and background stories. My sister had several of them. I thought they were pretty creepy. 💀💕

I really liked the movie but the trailers show way too much I mean they literally show all the deaths and considering it was R-rated but then cut down to pg13 the kills felt kinda watered down as a result. I loved M3GAN, and I love what Blumhouse and James Wan did, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen, not to mention M3GAN’s voice when she sings is just beautiful and angelic. I think we have the next best horror franchise with M3GAN. I honestly think it’s gonna be tough for other horror movies this year to set the bar that M3GAN has set. NOTE: Blumhouse just got done with Halloween, so I think they definitely took the next step up.

Megan is one of the greatest horror movies I seen this year. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as they took the whole " Girl's Best Friend" concept and theme to another level as it was just constructed perfectly from the very beginning to the end. It was such a fun rollercoaster thrill ride as it kept you on the edge of your seat. You have a good time with this movie. It was decent. 😍😎💯👍

Do you think that what is at the moment tagged as 'Horror films' should practically all tagged as 'Scary movies'. M3GAN is not horror. 'The Descent' with the ending outside the US is Horror. 'Requiem for a dream' is Drama, Horror. Slicing/Splicing people/Light Scifi is not horror.

I liked the movie very much so don't get me wrong when I say it borrowed a lot from the Child's Play cinematic reboot of a year or so ago. I believe the reboot of Child's Play ALSO opens with a commercial too.... it for sure features a commercial for the Good Guy Doll ("Budy" I think is the doll in the commercial's name). The demo low-key reminds me of RoboCop in parts but mostly in concept. They still managed to make it original enough imo
