What do you think of the new iPads? Are you getting one?
@-The-Golden-God-5 ай бұрын
I bought my first ipad the other day; I went for the 13" M4 Nano. I hate the OS, as I'm used to the freedom and flexibility of Windows and Android, but the screen and drawing experience are phenomenal. However, I'm finding the size quite unruly and it's difficult to hold while drawing. I'm very tempted to downsize to the 11".

Sir please make comparison video on web developement vs designer (there are lot of different fields in graphics designer, web design, logo, Baner,thumbnail designer) vs animation, digital art. How to choose between these? Can I do freelancing for lifetime? Can I do it without degree, college?Can I take it as a business? How to clear confusion, which one is for which person or personality, how to choose?
@Gemz-jf5ny5 ай бұрын
As a senior integrated designer myself (and I have been mostly freelancing in the past 4 years), one question you should really be asking yourself is - which job you have mentioned above interest you the most? A developer is very different to a designer. But it wouldn't be very helpful if I told you developers generally takes good pay and you don't need a university degree (professional courses and qualifications are still required for the job), because if you have no passion smashing the keyboard and staring at , it is simply not your thing. Plus, my pay is similar to a developer in Nordic countries even though I am a designer. So the answer for which job is more sustainable really varies - especially in 2024, the boom of AI and other automations are outdating a lot of jobs out there. If you want to 'freelance for life', web design and graphic design are not your best bet for 2024, this conclusion is made after countless good designers and connections in my industry had been made redundant due to industry shift and business changes. But currently UX design and 3D designs still have a market out there. A few other valid roles to consider: video editor, motion designer (both editors and motion designers are in demand by big corporations), video producer and content creator. All the best.

Really nice hearing your thoughts about it! I pretty much just "upgraded" to the M1 cause it's cheaper and I'm still learning working with this (I'm a graphic designer as well) so I feel like in a couple of years when I can appreciate the barrel roll tool and such and all the programs have it it'll be a nice addition.

How many GB do you have on your I Pad Pro? For Graphic designers, do you think it makes a big difference to take the 16 GB RAM? And if you take 8 GB RAM , would you recommend to take 256 or 512 GB?

Will you try the nano-texture display? I know you said it’s crazy expensive and to get a Paperlike instead, but would love to know what you think of it
@MrNobodyX36 ай бұрын
It's only my purposes to remove glare, and will not make any noticeable texture change for your pencil, but it's a terrible option if you want true color of the oled display
@TheFutureLooksGrimm6 ай бұрын
IMO the nano texture felt exactly like my m1 with an ESR glass screen protector. Smooth. Problem is that the screen scratches easier and that’s probably why Apple has not recommended it for drawing.

i already planed on getting this ipad eventually, but am in desperate need for a new macbook to do design on. my very old macbook air can’t handle more than one program at a time. what would you recommend for a designer in 2024? i’m currently eyeing the M3 Pro Macbook Pro but im not sure if i need all that
@thatGreninjaGuy6 ай бұрын
If it's okay then go for windows with nvidia 4060 (140W)TGP and 13th gen i7 That would be a lot cheaper than macbook pro.. But again it depends, whether u want apple or windows ..

This is a great review, especially from a graphic designer point of view. But I have always preferred non Apple products. How possible is it to review other tablets for graphic design, like the minisforum V3 tablet (hear it's got great specs). Just wanted to know from your perspective.
@fabiolg67196 ай бұрын
It still just has 16 gb of ram max so no reason to upgrade on my point of perspective. I mainly use my M1 Ipad for 3d art so I need more ram. Just gonna wait longer until they improve the ram

@jeffthibodeau1575 ай бұрын
It's all about preference and what you are going to use it for....I've been told that the 11" is easier to travel with and to handhold. In the US its only a few hundred more to go with the 13"... I'm a fan of bigger screen. You have more room to work with mainly if you are planning to do some video editing with it. I will be getting the 13" as I will be using it for drawing, video editing, photo editing etc.. Plus I can pair the screen with my MBP 16" and use it as a 2nd screen when I'm traveling.
