Of course it’s mixed bag. Any PC for $600 would be a mixed bag for gaming as well. I feel like reviewers are really putting the base Mac Mini at very unrealistic expectations. It’s physically impossible to even build a desktop PC for that cost and have it not suck.

Watched so many reviews on Mac mini gaming, if you wanna game on a Mac mini then you have to get the M4 Pro (base) as your starting point.

Thank you for the content I am playing Diablo iv and Hogwarts Legacy with crossover on Mac mini m4 and loving it , running the games from external ssd 2 terabyte

@ yes they run very well in Diablo iv getting 70fps and lowest is 59fps on high settings Hogwarts legacy is on high settings

Give it some time. Crossover is a crutch, how games work in it is not important. In any case, they will work worse than on a PC. There will be a lot of native games over time specifically for new processors.

imagine a 600USD buying brand new parts, and ITX aluminum case, also, don't forget the thunderbolt 4, yes, we use that a lot. any PC for that price wouldn't be great for gaming, and it will have windows, and we all know that Windows sucks.

Device is more than capable, games aren’t optimized , every single games that has been well optimized for apple products ends up doing extremely well, it’s goes to tell you the problem has never been about the hardware.
