This video is the much asked for and long awaited walk around of my M416 trailer Overland build. Just like my Jeep this trailer will most likely always be in a state of evolution and upgrades to meet my needs. Here you will be able to see how I took a 1968 M416 trailer and modified it for Overland use. Be sure to check out the other videos to seethe before during and after process.

Awesome build! Question: I bought one that already had a RTT instants on welded on brackets that's higher than your brackets, but the RTT is so about 8-10" too low for the annex. Do you have any issues with the RTT being so low?

I've had an M-416 since ''87. Vehicles that pulled it have come and gone but the little trailer remains. I'm curious as to why you ditched the OEM lunette ring arrangement in favor of this aftermarket hitch system? I've taken mine across some moderately difficult trails, like the Rubicon, and never had any problems with the OEM set-up mated to a pintle hook on my vehicle, in terms of articulation or anything else, hence the curiosity over your hitch arrangement.

Hey really like your trailer, just picked up a 1964 M416 myself and have been working on getting it ready for a camping trip. I really like your spare tire mount. Is it a swing arm? Do you have more info on what you did to make it work with the trailer?

The Coleman fuel canisters don’t get too hot with the sun beating down on that black tube? That’s a sweet setup, really cool.
@GREYBEARDS-ADVENTURES

Thank you. They do not get hot at all. Even in direct sun they are only warm to the touch, not hot. I wondered the same thing and thought I would change things if needed but made it through the summer with no issue.

No concerns with your control panel being exposed to the elements? Nice trailer, BTW! Thought about this, but decided to order one instead...

The control panel is waterproof so no issues . Of course the proof will be over time but thus far no issues what so ever. Thanks for watching.

Your trickle Charger how did you set that up? Nice Rig!!!
@GREYBEARDS-ADVENTURES
@GREYBEARDS-ADVENTURES 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you!... it is a 2 amp battery tender / trickle charger. It auto regulates to keep the battery fully charged when it is in storage. I have a shorepower plug in the box and the charger is direct to it. I am adding a 100w solar panel as well that will assist in keeping the battery topped off when the trailer is deployed.

The lid is removable and items can be accessed all around depending on the size. Larger items like totes or cooler go in and out via the rear of the trailer where the largest opening is.
