What actuators did you use? If you have the PNs that would help. I looked on compact camping website and couldn’t find it. Their website is a maze. Also if you could elaborate on your solar mount. Was it full custom or off the shelf?

Hey Rob, yeah its not the best. The actuators are from Amazon - Homend DC12V 18inch Stroke Linear Actuator with Mounting Bracket 900N(225lbs) Maximum Lift (www.amazon.com/dp/B07HNT283R?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details). Excellent build!!! I have OCD and the only two things I would do: 1.) once the rack is extended up, I would drill one hole in each upright to be able to insert a pin, just a safety precaution. 2.) add at least one gas strut on the inside of your trailer/lid. This would make it super easy to open and no need for a block of wood to hold the lid open. Again, with my OCD I would add one on each side. I'm not bashing your build, I think it was well thought out and I really like it and maybe you actually have plans on doing what I mentioned. I like the jerry can horizontal mount, nice way to use that space. Don't laugh, but, I'm sitting here with the video paused and looking at the left (passenger side) of your trailer. On the lid, the sloped part, possibly make another piece the same dimension, hinge it to the bottom of the slope and one or two latches at the top. Once rack is raised, this could be unlatched and used as a shelf for prep or just to keep smaller things off the ground. Again, great build.

enjoyed your video and the trailer. I've wanted to find a 416 for awhile though in Oregon they hard to come by. I'm moving to Arkansas in June when the weather warms a bit so my boy Jack (some people have called him a dog before , he's not at all! he's my boy) and I have a wonderful trip along the way. we'll take 10 or more days to make the trip just to enjoy our time. Keep up the good work!
