I show and talk about 4 of the M715 series trucks that I have. Also a small bit in the middle about a Sale at NPS Industrial surplus store. (Note: In the video I said the spool of 3/8" cable was 300 feet, it is in fact 500 feet)

All I'm seeing is 4 goats that need to be welded together 2X2 linking steering & having identical power plants installed. Some fat & squishy mudders deflated reeeal low... or 4 separate goats ready for rolling wherever already. My Pops had told me stories about riding around in these over in Germany between '66-'69. Driving around with chains in 2' of snow. After hearing about this and seeing photos, then reading anything I could find about them. I was hooked. The 318 is a GREAT idea. Nice discounted steals loaded on the ATV. Ever heard of ROKON? Well Alan... (shout out to Bob Fendrick for having posted in the comments) Thanks for the tour & time taken for the video. That certainly is a little piece of Heaven out there in the Mountains... Noticed you had a few tires... tire walls filled with earth & tamped make some seriously long lasting & insulated walls. Hey have a good one, thanks again for posting.

In the 1980s, I had a neighbor who had one of these Kaiser Willys M715s. Always parked beside his earlier Dodge, which also had a pickup bed on back. Probably early 1950s vintage. Same sort of cab as seen on original Power Wagons. I loved the Kaiser Willys, but I always thought the Dodge was even more cool.

I subscribed because I wanted to see you showcase this stuff. Now I feel like we are slowing you down so you can stop and show us. You are a gift. You don't need KZbin. There are other people for that. Just thank you for allowing some of us to think we can accomplish a fragment of what you started on that hill.

Greetings, this reminds me of the 90's, out in blazing hot Phoenix Arizona… I built such a monster M-715 weapons carrier frame and chassis. Whereupon I mounted a red 1963 GMC Truck body on it, a close fit, powered by a built 454 Rat motor / Turbo 400 Trans, it had a Predator Carb with a bird catcher Mr. Gasket scoop, a massive tube bumper, racing seats and full harnesses, fail-safe (Selectro) front hubs on huge tires. It never failed me! Unfortunately I had to sell it off in 1999; sure wish I had kept it! Back then I had to make a command decision in order to expand my horizons beyond a certain Catholic/Hispanic Evil Influence/Control over my ex-wife; who refused to seek professional help, it infected our life for the worst… Anyhow, I wisely went AWOL instead of Atomic! I had too much stuff to move; so this main weldor/mechanic truck got sacrificed as the extra money was much needed. I also had a tiny International Scout 800 or some kind of neat International 2 door V-8/4x4? Anyhow, if anyone knows the whereabouts of this special custom built Rat/Rod, Red 1963 GMC upon an M-715 Weapons carrier truck I built, please advise? I would love to be reunited with it! I put much blood, sweat and tears into developing it and making it all work together so well... It was a real beast and much needed therapy! I remember the transfer case having slash cut gears, whining like a 747 coming in for a landing at 60mph down the highway! It would blow away shocked provokers, you could not touch the dash as it launched you into your seat hard. If it still exists today, you might hear it thundering before you get a glance at my spirit! Just my FYI… Kindly, CT

I guy stopped by to look at my 715 and said he has a m37 that has been converted to a 318 and I almost bought a 37 with a 318 so they did make a kit at one time. 5 miles away from me is a 715 with the 350 and he keep the transmission. I have never heard it run.

I suggest installing a Cummins 12 valve in that 3rd unit with the pickup bed. While you're at it, the Tri-Phase air filter unit makes GREAT sense, although I would be worried about the flex hose if it's mounted under the hood. Solid mounting it in the same area as you indicated you thought most of those trucks had it would be less serviceable, but the hose wouldn't be so subject to failure. While it would be cool to have OEM winches, it might be more practical to install a modern Harbor Freight BadLands electric winch on it. VERY few people would know the difference. Dana 60 front and Dana 80 rear axles from wrecking yards out of Dodge Ram 3500 trucks, same source as the Cummins might resolve the hub/wheel issue.

I dig those old Jeep Pickups, seems to me that they had an overhead valve 6 cylinder gas engine, I don't think that the bolt pattern on the bell housing will mount up to a 318 dodge. You might have to use the complete Chrysler 4x4 set up from one of your Dodge pickups. Keep some WD40 handy and spray all of your hood hinges before you bend a hood.

I was told that some military vehicles have engines that can run of pritty much anything and it won't ruin the engines. Like gas diesel and other fluids ? Can you tell me if this is true or false ?
@mtnfortresslabs2 жыл бұрын
My 2 1/2 tons and older 5 tons are multi-fuel. Except a couple gasoline powered ones. The multi-fuel engines run on a lot of things. It is possible to run 1/2 old motor oil and 1/2 regular diesel but old contaminated fluids can clog filters. You can run gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel in the multi-fuel, but always best to have some diesel in it too.

Hi are you planning to do hydroponics for your garden.
@benzimmerman56672 жыл бұрын
He should do aquaponics. That was he gets fish from the process, and he wouldn't need to pay for additional chemicals and nutrients like you need with hydroponics.

Another issue with hydroponics where he's at is water, as in "hydro". Not readily available and what ever is trucked in at substantial difficulty, will evaporate very quickly. so it's not a real good solution there.
