Their NFL crew fell apart. Big L’s brother Big Lee wanted their whole “NFL Crew” killed so that when he came home he’d have the block to himself to hustle. Lee paid a nigga from Brooklyn he was locked up with to kill a nigga named Gee (Gee was one of them NFL niggaz). Lee told L to go with the nigga to set up their man Gee. The night L and the BK nigga tried to kill Gee, Gee peeped he was about to get set up and somehow got away. Somehow word got back to Gee that Lee put some money on his head and that Big L was in on it too. Gee killed Big L like a week later. I always thought L was innocent 😞

@@samsneadd You dont get a nickname like Murda or Killa in Harlam just from rapping. Cam and Mase both have plently of stories to tell thats for sure... Im not familar with Mase's rap lyrics as much since ive never been a fan but Cam'ron openingly raps about having been a stick up kid. And Big L himself had numerous lyrics about performing stick ups, hits and robberies... not to mention lyrics talking about talented basketball youth getting caught up in the streets... which was certainly inspired by kids he knew like Cam and Mase. "I've seen a lot of my peers give up their careers for some fast money They could've been boxers, ballplayers or rap singers Instead they bank robbers and crack slingers Ayo, they used to be legit kids, now they corrupt They had dreams, but gave 'em up, 'cause they're street struck" - Big L "Uh, yo, Reggie White took me on my first stick up 15 years old, can't front I caught the hiccups Told me calm down, then proceed to click up Thought that car was a shirt the way we left that shit ripped up 8th Ave, dipped up, in my waist the grip tucked Told me keep my lips shut I ever get picked up I said before that you'll find me with my wrist cut Just wanted to chill, now in this shit I'm mixed up" - Cam'ron I was fourteen, just startin' a dream All grandma wanted was a washing machine, couldn't afford it Left me with a heart full of steam Felt like coffee, let me borrow some cream Hustlers said, "You can't be part of the team", "Why?" "You a ball player, one day you gon' make it out" Yeah I hear all that, but I ain't tryna wait it out You givin' me the work or what? What the debate about? They said no, so my options I had to weigh it out Fuck the daily news, I'ma found me a paper route Got with the stick-up kids, them ****** drove a Pontiac Never met Martin, but could tell you where the Tommy at Pass me the pump, that's no relation to Johnny, Jack Gripped it like I'm gettin' in and out that laundromat mat Apologize to the couple I had to victimize Week later, told nanna, "Look, I got a big surprise" She was happy, but listen she ain't no dumb dumb "Where the money for this washer and dryer come from?" I always peeped how L and Ma$e had lowkey tension, especially since I read about the Tunnel story on Complex. Fat Joe: Big L was no punk. Whatsoever! Cause he was a little guy, and he was famous, people would try to start problems with him around his block and stuff like that. One time he put me on the spot. This is the first time I'm telling this story anywhere. We in The Tunnel and I'm in there with like 50 guys and Big L runs up on me. He says, "Yo, Joe, I got beef, man. Come with me. I got problems." So I go in, I got all my goons with me a shit and when we get there it's Mase. They had some type of argument or misunderstanding and fuckin L threw me in the shit. The niggas start screaming on Mase. "Yo, I'll fuck you up right now. I'ma smack the shit outta him. Tell 'em Joe." This, this, that. Crazy shit is that I was hangin' out with Mase the night before. I was like, "Oh my God." You know, Big L was my guy so he put me in a messed-up position. We worked it out though. Mike Boogie: [On the song "Me & Big L"]: "Remember when you and Mase was beefin/Mad that you never put him on that '8 iz Enuff'."

@JaiAnthony-xk6vq Just because a guy raps about crazy shit doesn't mean he's actually about that life. It's entertainment first and MAYBE truth second.
