chinese athletic training as a whole is 'merciless' and 'cruel', as children are selected as young as 4 to go train, and the vast majority of them who fail to make it at the top become washed up. search it up, there are some good documentaries about this subject

It's nothing more than encouragement, professional players need to cheer and bring themselves back up if they've played bad previously in a match, as you can see Ma Long was used to saying Cho or Cho Lei after every point he won, so it's basically nothing more than congratulating himself as confidential is one of the most important factors in a TT match.

In the match, Ma Lin appeared to be more of a thinker as Ma Long is a well- trained player. If Ma Long can think as fast as Ma Lin, when he gets to Ma Lin age 31,seven years from now, he would be a more consistant player and will have more confidence because he will not have as many weak spots as a pen-holder will have. Chinese team has so many great players. And all the young players has so many legends to look up to. Ma lin and Wang liqin had Liu Guoliang. Ma Long, Wang Hao, Xu Xin, Zhang Jike played first with Ma lin and Wang liqin and then became champions. Now new playeds like Fan Zhangdong, Wang Cheqin, Liu Guoyuan. Not to mention other players like Chen Qi, Hao Shuai, Fang Bo, Yan An etc. all good players with great technique and footwork. China is a factory of producing Tt legends.

It's 'Chole' which means 'Yes!' in Chinese. Although a Chinese word it's commonly used by players of all nations - it's become a part of table tennis culture
