oOSkeppeROo , I whould count Timo Boll within this realm. He also has a very special style, that I regard as some kind of counterweapon to the chinese style. Short movements, at the table, with a lot of spin. Also a very demanding style. I feel like Timo was held back by some serious injurys in his career. And now he is too old. But from the pure power, FZ and ML are unbeliveable.

If Fan Zhendong was born in a different era, he may have won more major titles like world championships, world cup and olympics. But the problem is, he's from the same era as Ma Long wich is the best player of all time based on achievements. Ma Long won the world championships twice, the world cup twice and has one olympic gold medal. In addition he's the first and only male player to have won every single's title in table tennis.

The commentator and community have already said why. Fan ZD is literally already the best player of full on gung ho points ever. If you wanna start looping hard at each other, fan has a small but distinct advantage over even ma long. These are the points that will make it to a highlights vid. Where ma long has a small advantage is most other types of points. He's the smartest and most experienced champion. Fan ZD is like a super, slightly heavier and showy fighter fighting say mayweather. Mayweather isnt as spectacular but knows how to win better than anyone. Fzd in drills will be more consistent even at a higher pace, and can beat most players outside the top 20 without turning his brain on most of the game. A great stat check. Watch federer. Noone ever has hit a ball more gracefully or as well in terms of talent and timing. But djokovic and nadal boast decent records because its not always about who looks better.

He is only 21 and is world number one, 3x world cup winner and all of the world championships and Olympics coming up.
