The games are very different.. Mens game is more spin oriented and women's game is more about speed...Hence the serves are also very different..That's why we see such 'poor' receives and the serves deciding so much more than usual games..

They probably wouldn't be able to play "their normal games". XX's Forehand Topspin is really heavy; when you're not used to it, you're not used to it. When you try to beat FZD with speed and power, it'll backfire. ML is probably the only one they can play normally with but he's hard to get past if all you want to do is use speed and placement.

Women play close to the table and mostly backhand, defensively with less force like Harimoto so they have to play combination because they can play like that for a very long time but without a point. Ma Long currently plays closest to stylishly which is why he won with a woman and it's typically women's tennis. Fan Zendong and Xu Xin had easier stylish players, who play a lot with a strong forhend and in the second zone nevertheless did not win.
