MA2 Basic Pixel Mapping Tutorial

Here is the introduction to pixel mapping on the MA2. You must be using 3.2 software version or newer to use these features. This will get you up and running with how to patch LED fixtures, arrange them in layout view, and apply a bitmap engine to those fixtures.
Patch fixtures you want to pixel map
Store them to a layout view and arrange them
Patch the MA Lighting Bitmap fixture in the patch
Draw a rectangle in the layout view around your fixtures
Import the images or WEBM video files you wish to use to bitmap
Select the Bitmap fixture in the programmer and control it! Make sure to set it to "full" and change the output layout to the layout view you stored earlier. Then just tap your image in the image pool and go crazy.

I currently use Arkaos MediaMaster with my LED panels and I have been wondering if there is a way to combine the two only because it gives me a headache working two consoles at once. You mentioned that the video quality doesn't matter, would it still be possible to use HD/4K videos on the software or would I have to create my own video graphics for the time being?

So whats an example of an rgb fixture you can pixel map? Can it be any lighting fixtures like a huge square of 101's or intellipix? Or are there specific fixtures you'd use? noob question

It's pretty similar. A little more involved and you can actually do more with source types/file types but I dont think it's worth it for most applications. Would rather use resolume on another PC.

The amount of fixtures and how many parameters per each one really does add up in the processing department. Plus you have to remember there has to be minimal latency in the processing or else the lights will be late in refrence to the audio
