I love your videos. As others have said, they are very inspiring. I used to DJ at an after hours club in Nashville and prior to being given a chance to do my own set alone, I volunteered to do the lights. That ended up progressing to having my own night each weekend. Most of the time, I ended up getting someone else to DJ so that I could operate the lights! Since then, I've worked in corporate America, was laid off after a 10 year career in 2012. I started a travel agency which morphed into a hybrid travel and vacation rental agency. For the most part, I've managed to satisfy my never ending lighting curiosity by implementing lights in the design of our vacation rental properties wherever possible. Unfortunately, I can only justify so much that way! I've had fun doing all that but after watching many of your videos, I realize that I had forgotten what it feels like to really LOVE what I do. - so much so that it doesn't feel like work at all. Your videos have brought back an excitement I haven't felt in years. Nothing in the world excites me as much this type of lighting design and use. Thank you.

Great video. You´re aiming absolutely in the right direction. Expressing feelings and creating moods is the essential part of lighting but is often left behind the technical aspect. For that reason I really appreciate this video and hope to see more in the future!

First off, thanks for doing this videos at all, so many LDs want to keep how they go about their jobs as some sort of giant secret. I do have a question though, what do you have to say to someone who is a beginning programmer, someone who can patch, build pallettes and busk, but wants to do really push his skill sets and build looks as complex and interesting as yours?

First off I love this style of video. You are very good at explaining things and I learned a lot just from this short video. Question. You said that you predict what the DJ is going to do, and obviously you get it wrong sometimes. What do you do when you screw up? Just keep going like nothing happens? Correct for it?
