Maa Vue Performance | Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin

Maa Vue performs her song, “Txiv Lub Xim Xaus, “ which honors her father and his passion for playing the xim xaus, a traditional Hmong string instrument. In the song Maa also reflects on how time with your loved ones should be cherished.
This resource is part of Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin, a collection of educational media resources for general music programs from PBS Wisconsin Education and Wisconsin School Music Association. The collection explores connections between music, culture, and emotion, and includes video interviews with Wisconsin musicians, performances, audio files, and educator guides designed to help activate the media with learners in grades 4-8.
