I was listening to this song at the airport on my headphones. I was crying in public and people probably thought I was crazy. Losing a father is the worst feeling. You wish you can hear him lecture you or bring food to you because you forgot your lunch. It’s been almost 15 years and I miss him more than anything. Knowing my future kids will never know how great a man he was breaks my heart. Sometimes the memory gets fuzzy over the time and you try to “nco” your fathers laughter...

October 6th, 2013. Lost my dad my sophomore year of high school so suddenly so I had to pick up a lot of responsibilities. I just recently graduated high school and I miss him so much. I carry his picture in my wallet so that I go everywhere with him. I miss my dad... passed away in 2013 and every time I listen to this song I get choked up because my dad knew how to play every hmong instrument and showed it to me when I was really young. I was ignorant and didnt want to learn and now he's gone and I cant even play a note on the hmong bamboo flute... his favorite. Love your dad kids! Life flies by way too damn fast!

My dad past away on Valentine's day 3 years ago. His name is True Lor. I was a bad son that always brought my dad and mom to tears. What we as kids need to do is to love our parents, and provide for them to the best of our abilities. Don't bad mouth them, and answer them nicely even when they are being annoying or asking the dumbest questions. You never know what tomorrow will bring and when they would be taken from you. I always lecture people that I see them treat their friends better than their parents, and to not do that because friends are replaceable, but parents are not. Don't wait until they reach 120years old. Love them now when you still have the chance so that when their time is up, you could let them go without regretting about not doing enough. I absolutely love the Hmong violin at the beginning and ending. I mainly listen to it just for the violin. I wish so bad you incorporated it more into the song instead of just the beginning and ending. I mean this song is all about the Hmong violin so you couldve added it more into the whole song. Can you do one for suab qeej for me and consider doing one for suab raj, suab ncas for others as well for there were many Hmong parents who are super talented in Hmong folks instrument...btw, the other name Hmong use for xim xaus is nkauj nog ncas (xim xaus is a Hmong word of Lao/Thai roots)....ua tsaug!
