In my opinion close combat should no longer be considered a beginner talent because it no longer feels essential or as hellish to level windmill due to no cp requirements. I personally think ninja is the most important strength starting talent because it not only gives really high stat returns it also gifts ap potions. The best starting talent overall not strength/will is chain blade, even tho it spoils the story the really high luck returns makes the game so much easier due to crits and gold drops being alot more reliable and the high dex on top of that helps you be able to handle life talents down the line so you aren't testing your patience/burning a ton of gold working on them faster.

It definitely is! There's a lot to it but they break it down pretty well and it's still being constantly updated
